kp played his first game when he was 20.
frank doesnt turn 20 until AFTER the nba draft where he'll still be younger than more than half of the players drafted
Theres been numerous games where he's thoroughly outplayed jarret jack and has much bigger impacts...but young players lack consistency.

Is it wrong to want a player that might average 14-15 points and 8-9 assists per game with elite defense?

there was 10 times where he came up and gave the ball to lee and they ran a play without him in the action
They dont even run pick and rolls between him and kp often which is our best play statistically.
This is on the coaching as much as it is on the player.
i've brought up repeatedly more than you have the things i dont like about frank including his lack of ability to get to the rim...and brought up numerous ways he can improve that.
I bring up numbers in respect to melo(gets ignored by the melo stans), post highlights with actual analysis on whats going on(repeatedly)...but i bet you dont read them posts
If you seen the mavs games ive watched and seen dsj play pick and roll defense you'd be infuriated but you dont want their games and tune in for the highlights.
the mavs would rather a their two sub 6 foot players take on dsj's defensive assignments.
i've seen enough of franks flashes as a 19 year old from europe to not want to slit my wrists when he plays mediocre. If he's showing inconsistencies at this point next year I'll talk (panic) about it.

i know you've you see frank hit kyle oquinn mediocre finishing ass right on target going towards the rim. frank is really good at hitting the roller...its just he only plays with one player that consistently rolls. kp stops in the midpost if he "rolls" or he fades. and he doesnt play often with kanter (he likes to roll)
i'm questioning if you actually watch the games.
His current vision in the pick and roll and effectiveness will only go up when he gets some strength and conditioning under his belt (euros dont do that) and practice at attacking the rim. When he becomes more of a threat it will only open up more for his game....and for the team.
you comparing dsj to mvp contenders is HIGHLY unrealistic in my opinion. he'll max out at damian lilliard level if he's lucky..which is great.

being a pick and roll player is not just about making a pass
its about reading the defense, being aggressive, and going to the lane if its open
frank at the moment isnt a threat to go to the lane or to really create his own shot
your giving him a pass by saying "for his age" lol nah nikka, either hes good at it or he isnt
most of the time the pick and roll with frank goes no where and he just ends up passing it to a player who goes into iso
horn is good when it comes to point guards.

i wouldnt consider jack a good pick and roll player and hes better den frank and overachieving with horn as the coach.
yes, frank is still learning but these are just the facts


he's had a few games when hes hit some threes or deep 2s off the pick, and hes had moments here and there where hes made some dope passes. and i was cheering for him when i see it. they come few and far between. we are a solid defensive team with or without frank. having dennis smith or any other guard who can get into the lane consistently would give this team something they don't currently have. we would not be below 500
