lmao you speak like this guaranteed
whats plan b if we don't end up getting a pick that isnt in the top 5?
just keep losing?
how is Kp gonna like that?

1. What's plan b?
There's no flexibility for a plan b and all signs point to this team picking high. If it's not top 5, they still get younger with a lottery pick and all signs on the court point to a lottery team. The cap flexibility went to THJ and Baker, so like I said initially, next chance to make a hard pivot would be in 2019 when I believe we'll have around 20 milli in cap space barring anything unforeseen. This squad isn't in a position to have multiple options, not if they want to clean up the mess. Which is what this roster is; an amalgamation of moves from two front offices with vastly different goals. Cleaning out the old group's pieces which don't fit is going to be hard, so waiting out their contracts might be the only option.

2. How is KP gonna like that?
Just enough to accept a big contract that no other team can top. The number of star players that skip that first big raise to go elsewhere is really low because of the CBA design.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
The Knicks literally need some of every thing :skip:

If you maintain that KP is best at the 4 then Doncic/Porter Jr are no goes since neither will shore up any defensive issues and are best at the 4 IMO.

Lucky for yall this is a draft with a ton of bigs with huge defensive upside.
There aren't any real talented lotto guards but maybe Duval and Troy or Bruce Brown play their way into the convo :ld:

Porzingis not wanting to play center really complicates things and makes their potential build less dynamic than it could be.

Yeah, I get it though. He gets moved around in the paint so easily right now :skip:

He needs to look at Gobert and find out what he did, he was anorexic like Kristaps and isn't really all that heavy now but is definitely strong.

I get his complaints about defense, but his offense would open up so much more if he played C. He's quick, but he's not quick enough to take someone like RHJ off the dribble and he's not utilizing his height against those smaller guys.

So as fans should we be :damn:about him not wanting to play center?

Ultimately he's a bigger mismatch at center where his speed & spacing makes him a much harder cover, at PF he would be a huge mismatch if his post game were better and they had a stretch 5 to pair with him. Right now, yall play him with nothing but interior centers, when the vision should be pairing him with someone like Millsap, Dray etc A multi-dimensional Forward.

the thing i want to say that makes gobert appear stronger...he actually has excellent defensive footwork
he stays low until he needs to utilize his length.

he keeps his center of gravity low to be shifty enough to disrupt pick and rolls....he also stays lower to hold position against smaller players for boards and just uses his length to make up the difference.
kristaps stands to upright on offense and defense...its part of the reason why he cant box out all that well...or backdown smaller defenders.
kristaps doesnt need to be 280 to get a post game. shyt gobert aint nothing but 250 right now but he uses his body much better
kristaps aint that much off from 250.

his reasons for not wanting to play center are retarded
he pretty much said because he doesnt wanna have to play as much defense and he doesnt want to get tired:mjlol:
the league is full of stretch 4's
its easily to get one who can shoot
instead we stuck with the two 7 footers up front lineup which is pretty much played out

He needs to drop his strength and conditioning guy, he's improved his body but the leap from how he was built at 19-20 isn't that much, Gobert had a much bigger transformation -

Best case scenario is BPA on the board is Marvin Bagley, which would force Kristaps into playing C.

Or getting DeAndre Ayton, who has a wide skillset.

idk about that man
kristaps was bone thin
mind you he's taller than gobert.
gobert in that picture is bigger than summer league kristaps

gobert probably always had a bit of wirey strength to him...cause he's toned as hell despite being skinny in that photo

kristaps as of a month ago.
he's plenty big enough to me...he just needs an actual big man coach to teach him how to use his body against other bigs. not kurt rambis trash ass.

:francis:

Shame the relations with former Knick greats is so poor, Ewing should be the one showing him how to play, that running hook shot Pat used would be unblockable for Kristaps.

''
there's no forcing
KP been saying for 2 years he wants nothing to do with center
if the knicks force his already foul prone ass into that position, hes gonna be disgruntled
he already proved he has no problem taking his ball and going home

Nah, if they draft Ayton, Bamba or Bagley he has to play center because all 3 of those guys view themselves as PFs with Bamba/Bagley not being physically ready to play C.
