But do you really know any of these dudes?

Where you from you probably ain't even in TNH? You aren't in the streets you probably a fairfield/Amelia type dude.

It's cool to be a fan and support a movement but you claiming Bandcamp like it ain't a whole crew.

That's like running around hardbody claiming "All IN" but you weren't on the turf. I can take it from an out of towner but you could legit really do business with BC you in the same area...

Breh, Im off 105 and St. Clair. (Empire Ave) and most call it the Glenville area (shoutout to Terrell Gausha:ohlawd:). No need to google it....everyone knows what Cleveland is about and heard of St. Clair. Ima hood nikka to the core. I dont even know what TNH is but nothing is as street/tough/hood like Cleveland in the Great State Of Ohio period. Only EC is fukking with us on that level.

Anyways, I dont understand why ou talking about real life shyt like fans of AB really move around in REAL LIFE calling themselves #BandCamp:usure:

Like I said, it aint as serious as you making it out to be. His fans calling themselves #BandCamp on a message board to rep the fighter that they stan, and you catching feelings:camby:

Do you have this much energy to tell Floyd fans, "bu-bu-but, why yall call yourselves The Money Team. You're not down with Floyd:mjcry:" Come on, get serious:comeon:

It's the net....either let it go or join the wave. Other than that breh, Im back to regularly scheduled business.....talking this Boxing shyt.

You FROM The Nati, but let a Cleveland nikka stan the dude that was putting on for your city with no love back from you for years, now all of a sudden it's "This some Cincinnati shyt"...:comeon:

AB Fans = #BandCamp on thecoli.com. It's that simple and there's nothing you can do about it:manny:

Robert Guerrero: ‘I will test Keith Thurman’s chin’
Anson Wainwright
March 2, 2015
Robert-Guerrero-635.jpg

This Saturday marks NBC’s return to boxing as its maiden “Premier Boxing Champions” broadcast will be headlined by an interesting welterweight bout between Keith Thurman and Robert Guerrero.

Guerrero (32-2-1, 18 knockouts) is very aware of what he faces when he meets Thurman at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“Keith Thurman is a great fighter,” a respectful Guerrero said at the press conference in New York announcing the fight. “He’s quick on his feet, quick with his hands. He has power. You got to respect that.”

The former two-division titlist, at featherweight and junior lightweight, is excited to be a part of Al Haymon’s new venture.

“Al Haymon is brilliant for bringing boxing back to network television, especially on NBC, who just broadcasted the Super Bowl,” the southpaw boxer/puncher told RingTV.com. “It doesn’t get any bigger than that. Boxing will once again become one of the most watched sports, just like the old days. I can’t wait to get in there and mix it up for the fans.”

Guerrero, 31, is currently ranked No. 4 by the WBA while THE RING ranks him at No. 8.

As well as Thurman-Guerrero, the NBC card’s co-main event pits Adrien Broner against John Molina at junior welterweight. Also scheduled to appear is former three-division titlist, featherweight Abner Mares against Arturo Santos Reyes.

Anson Wainwright – What are your thoughts on facing Keith Thurman?

Robert Guerrero – It’s going to be a great fight, one the fans will remember for years to come.

AW – When you break Thurman down as a fighter, what do you see as his strengths and weaknesses?

RG – His strength is definitely in his power. Thurman has a high knockout ratio and he’s the naturally bigger man, who’s never fought under 147-pounds. I’m not going to talk about his weaknesses because that’s confidential information. I will be testing his chin though; that you can count on.

AW – In your last fight, you outpointed Yoshihiro Kamegai. It was an exciting fight but one in which you got hit more than we’re accustomed to seeing. Why was that?

RG – Kamegai is a pressure fighter and sometimes in this sport, you’re going to get hit. It just comes with the territory. It’s not like I’m going into a fight wanting to get hit but sometimes the fight goes that way. I like to fight toe-to-toe and give the fans their money’s worth. It will be more of the same against Thurman. There will be a lot of action.

AW – Do you feel you’ll have to improve on the Kamegai performance to beat Thurman?

RG – No, because I won and that’s all that matters.

AW – It will have been nine months since your last fight. Why have you been on the sidelines for so long?

RG – No reason, just waiting for the right fight. I plan on fighting more this year. We’ll see what the future holds.

AW – Your 32nd birthday is a couple of weeks after the Thurman fight. Do you still feel like you’re in your prime?

RG – Yes, I still feel I have a lot of fight left in me. I’ll be around for many years to come.

AW – Having won titles at 126 and 130, what goals do you still have in boxing?

RG – The ultimate goal is to one day be blessed enough in my career to make it to the Hall of Fame. That would be an honor.

AW – What are your thoughts on the welterweight division?

RG – The welterweight division is the hottest most lucrative division in boxing. There are so many big fights to be made and I want to fight the best. If you’re the champion, that’s all that matters. I’m trying to become one on March 7th. It starts with Thurman who is the WBA [interim] champion. [Editor’s note: THE RING does not recognize “interim” or “regular” titlists as dictated by the four major sanctioning bodies. RING welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. currently holds the WBA title.]

AW – What are your thoughts on the top rated welterweight rated by RING magazine?

RG – Champion – Floyd Mayweather Jr.:Fast feet and intelligent

1 – Manny Pacquiao:Relentless and powerful

2 – Kell Brook: Textbook style with good jab

3 – Amir Khan: Fast hands and big heart

4 – Tim Bradley: Big heart and very durable

5 – Juan Manuel Marquez: Technical and smart

6 – Shawn Porter: Brawler with good power

7 – Keith Thurman: Good puncher and strong

8 – Me: Determined and relentless

9 – Marcos Maidana: Rugged and strong

10 – Diego Chaves: Likes to exchange

AW – How are things now with your family?

RG – Everything is great. I thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for all his blessings. Life is good.

AW – In closing, do you have a message for Thurman?

RG – Bring your lunch pail and hard hat because we are going to work!

John Molina Says Style Earned Him Big Broner Bout
Posted by: Keith Idec on 3/3/2015

By Keith Idec

John Molina Jr. is 3-4 in his past seven fights, has lost back-to-back bouts and is about a 6-1 underdog entering his fight Saturday night against Adrien Broner.

Those unfavorable figures don’t mean much to the ever-determined Molina. He isn’t about to apologize for landing this high-profile assignment and isn’t bothered by those who’ve said he doesn’t deserve a spot in Al Haymon’s inaugural Premier Boxing Champions telecast on NBC (8:30 p.m. ET).

The 12-round junior welterweight bout between Cincinnati’s Broner (29-1, 22 KOs) and Molina (27-5, 22 KOs), of Covina, Calif., will be the co-feature of a telecast from MGM Grand in Las Vegas that’ll match interim WBA welterweight champ Keith Thurman (24-0, 21 KOs, 1 NC) against Robert Guerrero (32-2-1, 18 KOs, 2 NC) in the 12-round main event.

“People are going to say what they’re going say, but the reality is, is that people have fallen in love with my style given the fact that I took the scenic route to get to where I’m at,” Molina said on a conference call. “I didn't have these accolades and the amateur career [others had]. I didn’t turn pro until I was 24 years old, so definitely it took a while to get to this plateau – this level, if you will. But at the same time, I’ve left it all in the ring. I plan on leaving it all in the ring every time I go in there.”

Molina dropped a 10-round unanimous decision to Mexico’s Humberto Soto (65-8-2, 35 KOs, 1 NC) in his last fight, Sept. 13 at MGM. He was knocked out in the 11th round by Argentina’s Lucas Matthysse (36-3, 34 KOs, 1 NC) in his previous fight, a brutal battle last April 26 in Carson, Calif., that was widely viewed as a top “Fight of the Year” candidate for 2014.

The 32-year-old Molina intends to battle Broner with the same tenacity he displayed against Matthysse, who also was heavily favored to win their fight, yet found himself on the canvas twice.

“Boxing has provided for my family and has gotten me everything that I have today to show for it,” Molina said, “so I’ll never disrespect boxing or spit in its face because of what it’s provided for my family. I’m a family man and I take that very serious. So I believe that the true fans of mine know what they’re going to get March 7th. They know that I’m bringing everything to the table.

“A lot of fighters say that, that they’ll go out on their shield, but I truly mean it. This is not just me fighting for my pride – this is me fighting for my family. This is for me to better my family’s life, so I take that very seriously. The unconditional love that you have for your kids, for your wife – boxing has only enhanced their life. I think it’s very different and I believe that will show forth March 7th.”

Robert Guerrero goes all the way back for his Greatest Hits
Mar 02, 2015 By Jason Scavone

From an auspicious four-round decision to start his career to fighting one of the all-time greats, Robert Guerrero picks out his most memorable fights ahead of his clash with Keith Thurman March 7 on the Premier Boxing Champions debut card airing live on NBC at 8:30 p.m. ET.

3 vs. Malcolm Klassen, August 22, 2009, at the Toyota Center in Houston

Though he first became a world champion when he beat Eric Aiken in 2006 at 126 pounds, the fight with Klassen at 130 gets the edge because Guerrero’s training regimen was compromised leading up to the bout.

“I went into the fight with a messed-up hand. I didn’t even spar the whole time. All I did was shadowbox. I went out there and just put a clinic on, just outboxed him. He was a two-time world champ and I went out there and just took his title away,” Guerrero said.

Take it he did, winning a 12-round unanimous decision.

2 vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr., May 4, 2013, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas

It’s a fight that would top any fighter’s list of the most memorable moments of their career: a chance to get in the ring and hand Mayweather his first loss.

“You’re fighting the best fighter in the world,” Guerrero said. “It was a huge deal. The experience was great. You learn a lot from fights like that. That was probably the second-biggest, most important fight of my career.”

It wasn’t to be, though. Like he has against so many others, Mayweather used his speed and defense to outlast Guerrero, coming out on top of a 12-round decision.

1 vs. Alejandro Cruz, April 22, 2001, at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California

You never forget your first time. It’s the fight that sets the table for your whole career. As an 18-year-old 126-pounder looking to make a name for himself, Guerrero came out and won all four rounds against Cruz. From there, he was off to the races.

“The biggest one was my pro debut,” Guerrero said. “Getting out there for the first time, small gloves, no headgear, not knowing anything about your opponent, never being hit with an eight-ounce glove. That pro debut is what pretty much can either make you or break you. Some guys get spooked right out of the amateurs when they get hit with a little glove. Some come out and do excellent. You can be the best amateur ever and as soon as you get to the pros, things change.

“You’ve got guys like Mark Breland, who is the best amateur ever to come out of the United States. There’s guys he was way better than in the amateurs who went on to greatness. Guys like Evander Holyfield, Pernell Whittaker. That whole ’84 Olympic team just came out and did big things. Your first pro fight tells a lot.”
