For example, Netflix could easily pick up StartUp and Manifest if they wanted. I'm not sure what they're goal is.

they hit on 1 out of every 20 "Netflix originals," but people are addicted. I actually think they are a ripoff at $15 a month. I've literally watched less than 10 hours of Netflix content in 2021, but my family uses my account so i keep it. If every shytty looking network sitcom/drama premiered on Netflix instead, they'd be heralded "hits.*" it's a like a mindet. And there are shows on Netflix that get absolutely zero buzz, then you look and it's season 4. people just click randomly and since it's so easy to binge they just barrel through i guess.

and far as their movies, they all feel like 75% done scripts that have been circulating Hollywood for years. Sci fi and action b movie bullshyt that never had a chance to see the big screen. i think their action movies are horrendous

*i never watched that show Manifest on NBC, but it got cancelled and was the #1 ranked show on Netflix for a while. Netflix didn't pick it up for more episodes. What is the thought process there? their audience clearly likes it, why not extend the show?

Netflix has piff. People just need to stop watching everything all at once. In recent memory, I watched Flash, Legacies, Originals, Vampire Diaries, Startup, Gotham, Designated Survivor. In terms of movies I watched that Amy Adams one. The thriller. And I got Good on Paper, Fatherhood and Ice Road on my watch list. In terms of shows I’m watching now it’s Manifest, Supernatural (rewatch) and Turn. It’s plenty on there :manny: Now in comparison I almost never watch Amazon Prime or Starz which I have too. Netflix good with me. They do need to work on their app though. They have so much on there that it gets buried. HBO Max organizes their content better :manny:

nikkas never actually tell you what's so popping on these other platforms they abandoned Netflix decades ago for:francis:I got all these shyts and more and know cats capping:mjlol:

Facts. I got Netflix, HBOMAX, Prime, Hulu, Showtime, Starz and YouTube TV. I spend the lionshare of my time on the bolded. These other apps are good complementary services but they not replacing Netflix.

Netflix thought it could mass produce quality content and they were wrong.

specifically what show or movie doesn't live up to your standard of high-quality content?

Nobody did, hell most of us didn't know it existed until it was on Netflix. To keep it a buck Breaking Bad got a lot of its steam from its early seasons jumping to Netflix to then becoming a massive hit and cult favorite. I see Manifest was number one for a week on Netflix but the streets weren't talking about it so I don't really see the need for them to keep these outcast network shows going. How many people are watching shyt from CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX(outside of FX), AMC, or any of these legacy networks and cable channels these days anyways? I just think Netflix release too much content too fast. They need to slow down

are you claiming these are good movies? there are like 3 movies there that critics hyped, and a bunch of shyt otherwise. their massive budget movies like 6 Underground are terrible. they'd be eviserated if they were in theaters. those are the 75% scripts i'm talking about. Guaranteed Netflix saved a bunch of those scripts from the scrap heap. they're movies that would have been straight to DVD shyt 20 years ago except netflix gives them massive budgets

All Netflix originals are the definition of fast food entertainment. Just dollar store versions of major studio films and TV.

But the fukked up thing is it seems people don't care. This is the throwaway trash they're happy to consume.
Why shouldn't they be? Everything doesn't have to be a masterpiece.
