Interesting Season.
I have tuned out Yolanda and Williams, this is clearly a made up story that may have happened but it's clearly mostly embellished. Yolanda does not strike me as that naive. It's clear TLC was trying to force this to fill air time which wasn't even necessary.
Same with Darcey and Tom. Darcey is clearly addicted to emotionally abusive men. Tom saw her as a jumpoff nothing more. She needs to go home and be a mother to her children (who are more mature than her). She needs to realize she isn't the dime she thinks she is and settle down with a 50 year old middle management type dude who might see her as a prize or some divorced dad of older children looking for love. Black, white doesn't matter, that's her lane.
Usman is obviously using Lisa to get to the US to enhance his career, but unlike Michael who blindly thinks being in the USA is better than living his fairly peaceful Nigerian (I've been to Nigeria, not sure the exact area he is from but Michael is considered middle class economically). Usman seems less naive and on top of that he is a pretty successful rapper. With that said Lisa is a racist control freak and Usman will come to the realization it's not worth it. At least Angela has t*ts.
Ed and Rosemarie will not work imo. Ed knows deep down inside he's no longer attractive. You can see the cringe on Rose's face any time he asks to touch her or kiss her. It was clear in the confessionals that Rose was ashamed she had sex with him. Rose seems to have a nice family but it's clear that her desperation and personal values are not in alignment. She is desperate for a better life and sees Ed as a meal ticket out of the Phillipines or at worst someone she can get some money out of before the break it off. Ed for the first time saw real poverty, I hope he was humbled. It's clear Ed is also a control freak and see's Rose like a little Asian doll. I cringe for Rose.
Avery and Ash are just odd. Ash is an android, he says the most generic shyt and once Avery finally caught wind she pressed him for the truth to no avail. She is going to realized Ash's situation is probably way more complicated than he lets on. It kind of showed when Ash's brother did not approve of the relationship. This is going to escalate quickly.
Jeffery and Varya, probably won't last either. Jeffrey seems like he has problems aside from just some drug charges earlier. He has a crazy look in his eyes that is just unsettling. I would be surpised if Varya ultimate travels to America with him. You know his mom wasn't feeling the flowers he picked of the road. He didn't have to money to stop and get some chocolates or even like some meat or something. Easter European women are very practical she would taken almost anything with a little bit of thought.
Stephanie and Erika. HOT TAKE: Stephanie is going to come to the realization that she isn't a lesbian but she is asexual. She wants more of a one way female friendship with Erika. She is not comfortable with herself because she was clearly raised in a very conservative household. I side with Erika, Stephanie should not have looked at her phone nor should she have pressured Erika to move to NY so suddenly, I mean it's what 2-3 days in?
David and Lana is another work to me. David is getting scammed and he keeps falling for it, but you know what they say about a fool and his money.
