9/30/2023: SHO PPV - Canelo vs Charlo (Undisputed Super Middleweight Championship)

Charlo is just happy to be there. He's not coming to win. He's already laying the seeds for his loss. First, he was saying how he was bigger than the Canelo, then he said Nelo is bigger than him and that 168 isn't his weight class.

That was interesting to me. It could be nervousness or it could also be mindgames. Think they want canelo to believe he can walk through him and come out reckless. But I don't think canelo is buying it. He's gonna respect jermell like he's a legit super middleweight.

Yea and mell is good at those in between shots. He's fast and awkward with his angles. Which is prolly why canelo's working on that head movement. He knows he can't get caught. Jermell gotta put his punches together though. 1-2 at a time won't cut it. Let off combo's and don't be afraid to let off first. Get canelo to counter and catch him coming in.

If this ithe sluggish plodding canelo of the last 3 performances, jermell wins as long as he stays on point defensively. It'll be easy for jermell to move around and frustrate him. Now if canelo comes in agile and sharp like that saunders fight I'll take canelo by late tko. There's a lot of variables in this fight. Could see it going a few different ways. But either way I see it being very competitive and possibly great. High level chess from the start. These are my favorite kind of matchups. Two guys with skill who can also hurt eachother.

Or just pre-saunders in general. Little g rematch. Jacobs. I choose saunders cause that was the last time he looked elite level. I'm not sure what you mean by putting stock into it. It was a really good performance. It's not that deep.

there is no buzz for it because Mell is wrong. he really needs to play up that bad ass role. also they need to get Bud in the mix more. there has been some talk from Bud about fighting either but Mell aint having it because he doesnt want people to think he looking past Canelo. he doing shyt like saying he will fight Benevidez and Plant if he becomes champ there. the Charlo's really are good guys, they just always been kinda bland until they get disrespected. I understand every fight dont need the WWE theatrics but the only thing I can say about Mell's attitude is he is planning to come in boxing, which he should, but he needs to not get timid either and come in there with a real chip on his shoulder.

Charlo isn't stupid..he knows he needs to be vicious..the judges are against him as much as that crowd will be..we'll see how he responds to the whole atmosphere..he going for that knockout..he got better stamina...defense needs to really be on point in this.
