This didn't happen with Lara..or Trout or Danny Jacobs. That Jacobs fight was close too but Canelo did win like 115-113..it's a legit win but he didn't dominate shyt.

Jermell doesn't need y'all to cape for him......obviously he believes in himself and so does Derick James. Derrick James is not letting mell take this fight if he didn't believe he could win. Period. But I guess some of y'all understand boxing more than the best trainer in the world

This is basically a super middle version of Shane Mosley vs Delahoya. Everybody expected Oscar would be too big and strong. Which is why he was a 2 to 1 favorite. But it was Mosley's athleticism and quickness that came out on top. And surprisingly he also looked like the stronger guy. Oscar just couldn't keep up. This could very well go the same way. Especially since canelo's defense and speed has slipped over the past couple years. Jermell has the fresher legs and better stamina.

Derrick James wouldn't have taken this fight if he didn't believed jermell could win. This is gonna be a very high level chess match. Won't be a walk in the park for canelo in the slightest. I favor canelo 60-40 but he's gonna have some problems with Jermell's athleticism and skill. These are the types of fights boxing needs. That arena is going to be fukkin madness on fight night. In the meantime David's fat ass can take on Morell, jermall, or Andrade. That fights not going anywhere. If he can't make it past them then he was never built for canelo anyway.

Them Lara and Trout fights were long ago -- well before his prime. No use in this conversation. So if you wanna bring up Jacobs, remember Charlo and Jacobs do not fight alike. Jacobs is a sharp, crisp puncher, everything thrown on a line. He was always gonna be a tough matchup for Canelo. Both Charlo brothers get a lil brawl happy, and start throwing them wild hooks. That's the worse thing you can do fighting Canelo.

That's why I'm glad you said what you said. So it's no excuses from you - when Charlo leans and gets caught, trying throw one of them wild hooks. Don't bring up the jump in weight

Derick James is about to fight bud and just signed Ryan Garcia. He's not hurting for cash. This is not a fight that he NEEDS. Sacrificing one of your top guys for a quick bag just doesn't make sense in the long run. DJ has said before how he believes Spence could beat canelo. So it makes sense he would have the same belief in jermell who is bigger and more technical than Spence.
