Nah it's not his channel, it's just Probox TV and he's an analyst there. He only talks strictly boxing on there so he's tolerable

Oscar never ducked smoke, always fought the best, is a HOFer, now promoter, and laid the blueprint for Floyd to follow

His opinions are valid :manny:
No Oscar didn't "always" fight the best. There were plenty of 2-3 fight stretches where delahoya was not fighting elite guys. That's the same for pretty much everybody in history. But when we look back we just remember those BIG fights. So it just seems that way. But Oscar got a lotta mid on his resume. And he ducked winky wright.

Oscar didn't lay a blueprint for Floyd. Floyd followed a jack Johnson blueprint if anything. Be the heel. Get people to root AGAINST you. It's not about getting people to watch you fight. It's about getting people to watch you lose. And Floyd did that masterfully. That was the complete opposite of Oscars blueprint if anything. Floyd reached a higher level of stardom and drawing power than Oscar.

Floyd saw Oscar leave Bob Arum and become a fighter/promoter that drew big PPV #s and live gates by fighting on cinco de mayo and mexican independence day...Oscar laid the blueprint, it's ok to admit it

He simply embraced the villain role as compared to Oscar's Goldenboy persona

Oscar de la Hoya literally sounds like a Mexican used car salesman from Nogales. Stop posting his nonsense here
Hold up..De LA Hoya was a real champion...can't utterly dismiss him. He got agendas but he fought everybody. Caneko is scared shytless of Benavidez, Bivol rematches, and Andrade.

Amir Khan put up a better effort than Jerm. That's facts.
Both came up in weight for the challenge.

You could make the argument that Con was up in the cards. He was boxing his ass off before he got caught with the Street Fighter 2 Balrog special.

Kahn boxed decent for a few rounds but that's about it. Canelo was outboxing him by the end of the 4th. The 5th you could clearly see where the fight was headed. Canelo was setting him for that right hand from the get go. Once canelo figured out the handspeed it was a wrap.
