Usyk is now a Hall of Fame boxer off this performance. To win titles in two divisions like heavyweight and cruiserweight in less than 20 fights is some impressive ass shyt.

Weaker era overall, if you are decent in this era you will be viewed as world class.

Roughly same time frame as Ruiz, they need to get AJ to learn how to let his hands go. This guy used to be hailed as a knock out artist but became gun shy. That Ruiz loss definitely impacted him and he has not recovered from it, where is that confident he has in the ring when he fought Vlad. I remember early on in his career the minute he hurt someone he was immediately on them.

Fury and wilder are tooooo much of wild cards. You can NEVER count wilder out. I respect AJ for never making excuses but he can be figured out and doesn’t have any wild card factor.
Wilder can be figured out too, see the Fury rematch. Usyk would know Wilder has that one weapon and he has the agility and footwork to neutralize it. Is it 100% he wins? Of course not but based on yesterdays performance he most likely does imo. Throughout most of the fight he neutralized a fighter with more tools than Wilder. I know it’s often said Wilder landed it against everyone but it’s a very carefully built up career where he seldom met guys who are top 10 HWs. Stiverne I and Ortiz are his best wins so far and both were flat footed, stocky counter-punchers who were easier to get away from and to pine down. Fury in the first fight was still on his way back to his top form, that was Wilder’s big chance but Fury stood up in the 12th, most think he should have won on the cards and just kicked Wilder’s ass in the rematch showing the difference when he’s in his best form.

Wilder holds up under pressure bad so there’s that too. His defense is basically keeping long range distance with the threat of a right hand and when someone gets close tying up languishing on the ropes. Usyk is the best at stepping around opponents’ weak side and frankly I don’t think Wilder’s left is educated enough to stop him from doing that and pin him down in the middle for a big righ hand. More likely Usyk steps around his left and pours it on him from there. :manny:

Yesterday Usyk proved to me that his best days are still not over though it seemed like on his previous fight and if that so after beating AJ I’d only pick Fury against him.
At the end of the day I’m just not nearly as high on Wilder and his hw reign as some of you guys are but we probably never gonna find out who’s right in this specific figh. :mjlol:
Imo Wilder loses to Fury but if not Usyk has the AJ rematch first and then if they are still the last 2 remaining good luck to try to get Haymon and Hearn to work together

Nobody should be shocked by this outcome.
I think any surprise comes down to the fact that we overrate size. Anyone that knows Usyk knows he's a better pure boxer than any HW out there. Not saying he'll beat everyone but he should at least be considered on even ground with them at least

I think people overreacting a little bit on Wilder's side.
He's still gonna make bank.
Wilder vs. Joshua and Wilder vs. Fury III will happen, there just isn't really any other interesting match ups out there so he benefits from that unless one of these guys decides to entertain a fight with Usyk, who could throw a wrench into things but I don't think they will.

Lol let Deontay take a fight with Dillian Whyte, who is the exact type of fighter to style on Wilder for 5-6 rounds and get his soul snatched on one right hand

Lol I said this after the Wilder/Joshua rematch.
I knew Usyk was a problem (I was far from the only one).
AJ could theoretically skip the immediate rematch and still fight the winner of Fury/Wilder III. He's still such a big ticket even though this might have dinged his rep a little. I hope he doesn't but there's so much money to be made so we'll see

I hope Wilder flashes on Coppinger during fight week, I know his team be seeing all the tweets cuz they were clowning Coppinger on a live session for Coppinger thinking Wilder was working out in a bedroom

Nah..he doesn't most likely beat Wilder. Several boxers outbox Wilder for rounds but end up knocked out. Fury was the only one with the movement to get it done.

They hate that black man? Out of the fukking blue, just whining about this cat. And Joshua who has a safe and protected look acts just like they want you to...which is great and all but Wilder is definitely gonna harder than Joshua just did..thats for damn sure.

I guess Manny Pacquiao could learn from Joshua too...instead of having an excuse every time he loses..especially with Ugas being one of his "easiest opponents".

He ain’t lying though, Wilder took that loss like a hoe, I remember even the more reasonable part of his fans were in agreement with that. Probably the most embarrassing excuse making that I’ve ever seen in this sport. We’ve seen crazy excuses before and since but not so many at the same time.
