The Rainmaker
Mr. Money in the Bank
Woke up to catch just the end. Man, that was unfortunate. That's a broken arm
As soon as I saw the force of impact, I thought that it could easily injure...at the very least, it would knock the wind out of the most athletic.Woke up to catch just the end. Man, that was unfortunate. That's a broken arm

Sure enough, as Okada began to stall in the corner, it was obvious.
The way they hid the injury, and how quickly it was called, had to be a fracture.
Red Shoes called that way quick, said fukk the improv, he's hurting.Yeah. The amount of pain Ibushi had to be in must be unbearable. It's Ibushi, after all. He's crazy, but not enough to endure something like this.
An unfortunate fitting end to the most cursed G1 in history. Let's not talk about it ever again.
Okada was in the corner like
I know this sounds crazy, but at least NJPW is having a down year when everyone else stepped up, if that makes any sense.Very glad to see Shibata back, let's see how long he lasts before he tries to kill himself for our entertainment again
Ibushi's injury is just another episode of this cursed year for New Japan.
3,861 in attendance for the Finals, that's still not better than NOAH

They might be fukked in Japan, interest wise, but their US expansion and gamble leave them incredibly able to capitalize and profit elsewhere. It doesn't tbh, it's not like other promotions are hot or anything. It's just that New Japan went down to the level of the 2nd tier of promotions in Japan. Covid restrictions make everything harder to judge, but the one thing that's evident is that interest in NJPW is down in a way they can't let it continue.
I know their bet is everything being open so they can book tons of new interpromotional matches (specially with AEW) for the WK three night show. But we are two months away and if they don't have a back up plan, they are gonna have to pull themselves out of a hole they could've avoided.

MiSu getting the respect and adding bookings, NJPW Strong getting a continued investment and a hell of a lot of seasoning on their LA Dojo guys, and I'm pretty sure NJPW and AEW are going to pick some of the ripe fruit as they grow the garden.
Times are tumultuous, the quality has definitely been shaky, but I think they will easily weather the storm.
