with haney...granted he is a top contender in his division..i think he would benefit if he faced a respected AND well known contender when he fights again in about 2 months or so...so ppl can really gauge him with regards to him challenging lomachenko..like public perception..abdullaev may have been a good fighter but he doesnt have public perception of one..the closest he's had to an opponent like is juan carlos burgos..and while he won comfortably he didnt really step on the gas to really get him out of there except like in 1 of the rounds

Guess he meant Lomachenko only having 15 fights doesn't mean a thing if 14 of those 15 were world title fights, often against good opponents.
11 of those 15 guys he fought were recognizable names to most boxing hardcores.
So that 15 is really just a number, don't be fooled by it, he's a guy with big experience already. It doesn't take anything away from his experience that he skipped the "fighting taxi drivers" phase. He started pretty late for a pro and he was fast tracked due to his amateur achievements. Arum took the gamble and basically treated him as a complete pro fighter when he signed him. It backfired with Salido but in long term his career didn't suffer from that, it was good experience.

Haney has the best chance of beating him imo, barring a move up to 140 and Haney will probably ony improve further.

So Lomachenko deserved a world title fight in his 2nd fight as a pro (which he lost) but an undefeated, interim mandatory doesn’t deserve a title shot in his 24th fight? Lomachenko was able get his title shot at the start of his career and build on that because he got the opportunity and Arum put him in position to from the beginning. Haney deserves the same opportunity.
I think Lomachenko is great BTW, just trying to figure out how Haney’s pro resume is light but Lomachenko’s wasn’t when he got his shot in comparison. Hence why I said, “what have you done could be said for Lomachenko”.

oh you got me wrong, I'm not arguing that Haney doesn't deserve his shot
I simply said Lomachenko is more experienced than most fighters even if he only has 15 fights as a pro because he only fought title fights after his first fight, that's all.
