There's no no-compete when the contract expires. But they wouldn't be able to promote him if September 1st is his first date as a "free agent".

Now, I'm basing this off Meltzter and other sites. I could be off and his contract could be done before of what was reported.

Or simply he wont be a part of it and Cody and the Young Bucks are going ahead regardless
