TYRONE GA!
all the high rises were torn down over 15 years ago.

there are still some low rises, but they haven't been lived in in years that I know of. I don't work in the area anymore, so I'm not seeing it nearly as much as I used to back in the day when I witnessed them knocking them down on the regular.

Cabrini was on the North Side right? The only major one there.

How many cities still got housing projects like that?

We still got 4 of ours left in San Antonio. I know some cities like Atlanta, New Orleans, Mobile got rid of all of them

I know some cities still got a few and tore down others

yeah, near north side. or west side depending on who u ask.

it's adjacent to lincoln park, which is one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the entire city. so that shyt had to go :camby:

however, the lathrop homes still exist, within maybe 10 minutes of where cabrini was and is currently property right on the chicago river. I cannot be demolished because it's on the national register of historic places.

I think from the list the only one still around is QB and Marcy. I’ve seen housing projects in just about every city I’ve lived in. I think these were soo bad they had to gentrify the area or turn it to apartments or something.

Marcy is only well known cause of Jay Z.

I played basketball in Marcy, when to school with kids that lived in Marcy, etc, it wasn't that bad. Yes, there was a street element in Marcy just like most PJs in NYC have, but it's not even the worse PJs in Brooklyn.

Marcy, Tompkins and Sumner PJs are right next to each other and I hung out outside in all three while being a nerdy square with no street ties without issue.
Never had a problem in Marcy either. Any random Bronx Ps is worse.

New Orleans
Magnolia was torn down after Katrina and now sits new apartments. So the pushed the people out and put up new housing? Who from Louisiana up here?

Most people from there either moved to New Orleans East/Kenner or out of state

But mostly folks never left the area
