Fitness and nutrition is about thriving, not surviving. I’m 35. I’m in amazing shape. My strength, endurance, and mobility are absolutely top tier. Blood work is immaculate. Literally zero ailments. Massive reserves of energy. My peers… not so much. I have the check nikkas every now and again when they act like I’m “lucky”, instead of recognizing the discipline and hard work required to maintain and extend my youth.

Fasting is not the issue.

The problem is fasting and then eating 3,000 calories in 6 hours.

If you say "I'm gonna fast every Sunday all day" and then eat normal/healthy the rest of the week", you're good.

If you only eat between 11 AM and 7 PM, but eat clean and healthy, you're probably good still.

Studies are always informative but remember that you can get any results you want depending on how you conduct the analysis.

Well take it fwiw. According to someone earlier in this thread he stated that when you are sleeping then you are fasting.
My reaction to that statement was :heh:..

How often did the subjects eat in the 8 hour window? What did they eat? Nikkas could've eaten a pizza an hour for all we know. Were they physically active? If they were how intensely?

Our bodies aren't much different from our ancestors many centuries before. Those people often ate once a day in addition to being far more physically active than nikkas sitting 14 hours a day

It's been said in here a few times already but these corporations get rich off nikkas eating and snacking all day. Those same corporations are also involved in shilling you the medicine you'll need after nonstop eating and chronic inactivity

What are the protocols of the study?
Most importantly, who paid for it?

The US Gov and FDA tell us to eat grains and other carbs and we know carbs are bad for you.

That whole intermittent fasting is a bunch of bullshyt.

It just allows people to continue eating like shyt in a smaller window of time instead of eating healthier foods to get in a caloric deficit.
Ahh maybe this is it. If you don’t eat at all and then eat wild dumb shyt in a small window then I can see that causing a heart attack lol

fasting has proven to be so beneficial, it is the cure to many of our modern day ailments.
I'm actually willing to bet this groundbreaking study was highly influenced by the food and drugs industry.
