What I mostly wanted was Ward to get his rounds in, an active #SOGGang is aone.

When BSJ, Canelo and other MW's don't fight Triple G and he fights the Dominic Wade's and Monroe Jr's of the world he gets flack....as should Ward vs this extra from Narcos.

Are you on Andre Ward's payroll, do you train with him, you have some sort of financial vested interest in the fight? HBO paid for a straight mismatch. Like I said, Berto/Zavek status.
Dude is obviously far away the best fighter on the planet but his opponent was unworthy of being his sparring partner.
Lets say Ward says "fukk another tuneup, I'm just gonna have the same guys fight me as sparring partners" OK?

EuroDemon was really tough for Ward "Dude fought a trash opp, but that was not the plan (as has been stated all over the OG thread, and I'm pretty sure this thread). In fact, Ward had to fight to get a tune up, and his options were always the guy who washes your car or the guy who washes your rims aka jobbers. HBO wasn't even going to let Ward get a 2nd tune up.
And just wondering how cheering for Ward against Jobber A is different than cheering for Kkkov against Jobber B that's different from Stevenson fighting jobber D that's different from Garcia fighting Jobber x? Also how are we as fans, supporting the fighters we like to see fight, allowed into matchmaking for future fights? I want to say it was the corner right before the beginning of round 12. Ward was kind of standoffish with Virgil I thought and even after the fight there seemed to be a bit of uneasiness in that corner despite the win.
That doesn't surprise me. Virgil is very risk adverse especially when it comes to SOG. I'm sure Ward wanted that KO.
Ward was paid $850,000, Brand received $30,000. Virgil kept repeating that they were fighting Brand because nobody else would accept the fight, I am not surprised they couldn't find anyone to fight Ward for 30K. Either way, Ward got some rounds in the bag, which was the main purpose of the fight.
