Things I liked...

I didn't hate the use of Orange Cassidy

I always wanted to see someone ride in on a horse during their entrance

Luchasauras is very talented.

I like the finish to Pac vs Omega, hated the overuse of jumping high knees though

Putting the belt on Jericho was the right decision

The use of Arn Anderson

Overall this ain't for me but I'm not a hater. I truly hope this works out and y'all other cats stick with it. Lord knows nobody wants to see Stephanie and HHH shoot on this failing on RAW but I definitely would stop talking big shyt if I was AEW and a fan, for real.

Not Kylie Bae :(

Apparently there was some issue between Bea Priestley and Sadie Gibbs during the battle royal and later backstage.

at least he an attitude era dude who gonna be there every week unlike SmackDown :mjlol:

Watching this promo between the look of All Out last night and the production botch shyt makes it real clear how big the gap is with them and WWE in just production and look and that’s probably even with WWE on a bad day. I’m interested to see how a weekly show is going to look from them.

There is nothing AEW is providing that isn't done better elsewhere. Straight sports style wrestling: NJPW. Athletic spot based super indie: NXT. Garbage wrestling: BJW, GGW. General sports entertainment: An argument can be made that WWE is doing it better than AEW at the moment, the last few PPVs have been better than the AEW events, TV is said to be better. Even their backstage stuff looks to be aping what TNA has been doing and what TNA had aped from Lucha Underground. The update center is a play off of 80s/90s wrestling and MLW was doing for the past 2 years WITH Tony Schiavone no less.

that's what makes it so dope actually.

theyre combining the good qualities from a bunch of different feds, and packaging it for mass consumption on a big platform w/ a big budget & big name roster.

besides theres nothing new under the sun.

and I say all this as someone who hasn't jumped on the bandwagon.

they still have some kinks to work out, but overall, the only knocks I have on the show is the weak main event, and some of their matches don't need to run as long as they do.

It would be dope if they were doing it better than other places. They're doing it with guys who were doing it better in other companies and still doing it not as well. All these dudes except Cody were doing better work where they were prior to AEW existing, including the other EVPs.

tommy gonna have to drag himself to the other side of town for that AEW show tho.

they said its sold out. I didn't even know they were coming here.

once they get into the full swing of things, everybody will get in their groove.

omega looks rusty but the bucks are back in their groove.
others are still feeling things out, while some just havnt had the right dance card. hangman hasnt had the chance to get his chit off. the pac match that they ended up having in dragon-gate or wherever instead of AEW, that match was tough but the other stuff they got him doing, didnt help him.

but alot of the roster looks like they found their stride heading into the TNT launch. all their hardcore stuff has been top notch, luchasauras & dark order are about to blow, etc.

bucks/lucha was a MOTYC last night.
that hardcore match was classic too. yea i said it.

I’m not sure about putting the belt on a 48 year old Jericho. If you’re going to be pure sports then no 48 year old is going to ever compete with a top level 28 year old on a level playing field. If you’re going to be WWE & cut corners with fukk finishes and outside interference then sure but the way the match went didn’t really fit within a sensible story arc.
