They got another PPV they gotta build to in 1-2 weeks and we all agreed before the match started that it never should have happened here. Im not mad at it.
fair

but like... then don't do the match?
Have the Jacksons come out here with the fukkery from early, with Okada heeling and dancing around the conflict.
Then you can have the match actually mean something when it finally happens for real at All Out
giving away the match for free just to not give it a finish and try and sell people on a rematch is... really stupid booking tbh. They couldn't have had Yuta and Moxley need to run off the Bucks leading to some fukkery? Bucks call the match off because Okada 'needs some me time'?

Doing the match then pumpfaking an actual decision is just so asinine. But probably exacerbated because it's not the first time they've done exactly this.

Literally.
Danielson/Hangman.
Danielson/Omega
MJF/Cole
etc.

it's the exact playbook and it's exhausting.

Because it's building to the PPV? How is it different than the cheap DQ finishes we've seen for years?
because they have you sit through 20 minutes of a contest that they keep even for 20 minutes just to snatch the rug at the end.

It's one thing if a chickenshyt heel managed to run out the timer and it was clear they weren't evenly matched. But having them go 50-50 for 20 minutes to hit the 'welp, we'll see next time!' button gets no one over and wastes a 'first time ever' matchup.

it's 50/50 booking for the traumatically brain-injured.

they dont do a lot of draws maybe like 1 % of the time or something and i dont think they ever do it at a PPV i guess you wouldve preferred a DQ finish? same shyt :manny:

I would have preferred they not do the match just to swerve the ending. Both men are part of squads. Do the logical - use the squad booking to build to the singles booking.
But because we need to have FTR/Bucks Round Eleventeen, they can't have another faction match right before.

Just seems wasteful of Claudio. Which... I shouldn't be surprised by tbh.:yeshrug:

Ehhhhh we saw that damn near every week in WCW main events when they were at their hottest :russ:

And WWE did it a lot too. One of my favorite non match matches was Kane vs Stone Cold on Raw before WM14 where everyone knew that neither could take the L and it was an eventual headlining PPV match.
