What's this? Joshua going on a rant about weights..Tyson, Sonny Liston..Rocky Marciano?! Whoa
Nah..he fought at a different pace but can't cut the ring off on the guy. He needed lead rights..especially when Uysk was leaping those counters...Wilder would knocked Uysk out for that.It was a great fight. Both guys fought there hearts out and left it all in the ring. Joshua wasnt aggressive enough and fought at the same pace he did in the first fight. Scored it 8-4 USYK, who was just a different class. He's truly skilled and sublimely talented. Bring on FURY!
you're going to go with the guy who has at best a punchers chance? We get it usyk is the better fighter but again, if it all takes is one punch to win the fight. I'm going with one punch man Everytime 9
Yep..he used to be more naturally aggressive and his knock out ratio was proof of that. More tentative now.Ruiz changed him
Why not? He's knocked out everyone but one guy.you're going to go with the guy who has at best a punchers chance?
Yeah, after the third round, Garcia said "it's 3-0 champ" and it was never that. At best 2-1 and very possibly 1-2.I think AJ's corner telling him he won every round set him up for that major breakdown too. He must've felt he won most rounds. It's sad to see a breh have a public breakdown. Hope he heals up.
Hold up...Joshua had outlanded Uysk throughout like 9 rounds...Uysk was just busier. The 10th-12 rounds won him the fight.Maybe I was a bit biased to Usyk but I had it 117-111 with a couple of swing rounds potentially. Felt like relatively easy work, I just dont get how one judge had it 113-115.
Joshua started well and stayed focused but just ended up falling back into bad habits. I know it's impossible to outjab Usyk but he just abandoned that punch at some point lol. And even when he threw it he never really doubled or tripled it making it way to easy for Usyk to slip and counter.
Even round 9 wasnt that impressive to me, most of the punches found air or Usyk's arms and he ended up gassed in round 10 where Usyk did far better work than AJ did in round 10.
I think he should have gone for broke to be honest, he might have been knocked out in the process but to me it would have been a better showing by him. Making it rough was also a solution but Usyk was very smart in the clinch.
Anyway, I just want to see Usyk-Fury and AJ-Wilder. The latter is still a great money fight no matter how many losses they both have.
This is what it is.. Its what it boils down too.. All this psychoanalysing is off to me. AJ fought the strategy he was supposed to as best as he could. Putting pressure, going to the body, he just couldn't maintain it for 12 rounds which he needed to do to get the win. He spent everything in that 9th round where the fight was even but with Joshua probably being slightly ahead and then in the 10th Usyk was able to dig into the tank and pull out what he needed to do take the last three rounds. Marvellous heart and performance. For Joshua to win this fight he needed to dominate and build a clear lead through the 1st nine rounds and hold on to it for the last three rounds but Usyk was too good and Joshua didn't have the ability to pull that off.I thought AJ did clearly better than in the first fight, he sat more on his punches and he only lost to 7-5 to me. His stamina couldn’t be up for the task though, it is what it is… after the 9th round Usyk sweeped the rest and it decided the fight.
Hats off to him for pretty much always fighting top 10 opponents unlike others but Usyk is just better, AJ couldn’t make that difference in experience disappear afterall

Punch for punch, a body shot is worth less than a head shot to me.Hold up...Joshua had outlanded Uysk throughout like 9 rounds...Uysk was just busier. The 10th-12 rounds won him the fight.

I wish AJ had some "dog" in him. A few folks in here was mentioning, and me and my homies who watched it said the same thing, that they/we wished AJ would fight rough and dirty. Sacrifice a low blow or a throw down just to show Usyk that shyt ain't all sweet.
