Simply not true go watch the second Ortiz fight. He set the KO punch up. Go watch the first fury fight the second KD he set up. He usually sets up his KOs by blinding a guy with the jab then boom. The punch Uysk kept getting tagged in the face with was a straight right which is Wilders beat punch.
Correct, Wilder isn't just in the ring throwing punches with his eyes closed. If he catches Usyk with a right hand its lights out. They wont allow Usyk on the same continent with Wilder.

AJ needs to take some time off. Get a couple tune up fights to set up the Wilder fight. If he loses, it'll still be a massive payday. If he wins, sets up a championship fight. Wilder needs to do the same thing too. I don't think he will get a title shot anytime soon.

@merklman

what you think
Pre-fight prediction was AJ getting KO'd in the 8th. AJ did better than expected, should've pushed on for the stoppage in the 9th when he hurt Usyk, but a mix of gassing out and having Ruiz 1 flashbacks had him :whoa:. His biggest mistake was sticking with that scrub trainer Mccracker for so long

I think AJ's corner telling him he won every round set him up for that major breakdown too. He must've felt he won most rounds. It's sad to see a breh have a public breakdown. Hope he heals up.
i thought he changed trainers because his old trainers were doing the same thing?
they shoulda told him it was a close fight after he got whooped in the 10th and that he needed to finish 11 and 12th strong or he will lose....and that ended being the truth anyway.

if he won 11 and 12 he woulda got a spilt decision victory.

Nah..he fought at a different pace but can't cut the ring off on the guy. He needed lead rights..especially when Uysk was leaping those counters...Wilder would knocked Uysk out for that.
Nah...he fought at basically the same pace. First couple of rounds he was putting pressure but not throwing enough punches. Way too many lulls in the action. Joshua didn't have enough activity...Wilder's coming off of two soul crushing TKOs last I checked...:sas2:

That's cool...but Wilder almost knocked out Fury in that last soul crushing defeat. So the game remains the same.

Who has he beat that was anywhere near the skill level or even fighting style of Usyk?
All he fights is people way more skilled than him....that's why white boys were so happy he got knocked out. Anyway...Usyk should win but can he win? Wilder hits him str8 like Joshua did with the right hand..fight is over.
