in order to escape survival mode with paycheck for paycheck, you need goals

Ask yourself why am I going to work?

Pay for house
pay car note

well, instead of paying a mortgage, or paying rent to some land lord who is also relying on to pay rent so they can live
you need to pay cash for shelter, depending how much money you have or can save.

Problem is people don't want to grind hard when necessary.

If you have shytty job this is what you do, you can still be rich you just need to stack

Cash out a trailer home you can find these for around 5 grand
now you don't have to worry about rent no matter how broke you get, you're defeated one enemy
the next on his the whip, instead of breaking your back paying a car note that cripples your ability to stack, and also causes you stress, look for charity car dealerships, they usually have very cheap cars with new engines, these places are designed for people who need reliable transportation but can't afford it, I'll sell cars like this if you want.

Now you got two big things out the way for good, shelter and transportation.

Now it's time for food, you can stock food supplies for basically free, churches, focus hope they give away can goods, bread, and produce all the time you just have to look around locally, or go to the district court find out where the people serving community service go to hand out the food. One day doing this should have you set every month.

So your not homeless, you can move around, and you're not starving. It's time to stack

If you can go an entire month with spending a pay check, no matter how much you make at your job, you will be on your way to financial freedom.

First thing you need to do is establish some credit, take 500 dollars to the credit union and get a secured loan.
Then take that 500 to another credit union or bank and do the same thing, and then take that 500 to another.

Now you have established 3 Tradelines on your credit report, make sure you be these on time, don't pay them off early, just pay them on time, once you do you will have credit.

Now that have you credit don't go fukk up doing nikka shyt

Instead you sell the charity car you had first brought or give it away to a family member in need

go back to your credit union and apply for an auto loan, it doesn't matter how much they qualify for
just buy a used car with the check the give you, it will be an upgrade from you charity car but inexpensive
monthly.

Once again pay this on time, and you will established an auto tradeline expanding your credit profile.

Now you've been working your shytty job for about two years now, but you've accomplished a lot
remember that month's pay you put in the hole, time to put it to use.
Go online, look up the Sheriff's sales in your county, go to the auction early, and bid only with that amount of money.
You will end up winning a home, if your savvy or lucky you might come up on a prize.
Now by simply paying the back taxes, you are the proud owner of a home free and clear.

Put an ad up to rent your trailer out, do not sell it, because you need the cash flow to supplement the income your getting from your job, or if you wanna be hardcore grinder like myself, rent the house out and stay in the trailer.

I'll tell some more later, I'm tired

breh you're forgetting the pride factor.. most people aren't gonna want to go look for free food hand out days and all that other bs even if they need it. and buying a trailer..just sounds silly. i get what you're saying on paper, but no ones gonna do this in practice.

word. this is why im a big supporter of abortions. its like yeah its fukked up to kill a partially developed fetus, but lets be realistic about it
I don't think abortion is the answer, self-control is. I feel there is a direct correlation to people that lack self-control with those that have a lot of children and/or have poor money management skills.
It takes a level of self control to spend your money wisely.

Easy to say.. but the reality is that it takes money to save money. The average American income (28K per year) does not allow for any real savings regardless of what they do. No amount of financial planning will help someone making 28k. Even if they pinch pennies and manage to get 1 or 2 grand saved a year it's pretty much pointless if your only saving at that level (you will never have enough to retire).

People need to be honest with the whole saving, and investing dialogue. Whenever I read those how to save for retirement articles they always assume a person is making something like 50k+ year and advise them to save 5 - 10k per year. But the average income is much lower (28k). There is no scenario that will work for them and that's over half the population.
1 person making $28k living on their own will have a hard time saving but 5 people making 28k, living together makes it easier for all of them to save.

Yeah because sharing a house with others while you get ahead is the same as slave quarters. If you have a family that's one thing but if you're a single person just trying to get ahead there is nothing wrong with living with room mates while you save money.

Your talking fantasy. Im talking reality. The average worker earns 28k per year. Most peope do have families. and Life is unpredictable. At some point most people will ecounter a layoff, car accident, health problems, marraige, divorce, kids, legal trouble or a combination of these things. Any of those can put a person earning 28k into lifelong debt no matter how much they "save". thats reality. There is no justification for the average wage to be that low in this country. you will never get ahead at 28k per year. At best you can scrape by and live a life check to check and full of debt. thats the reality.

Breh you're Nigerian; a lot of immigrants live together and stack up. I'm surprised you not cosigning this.
I cosign in principle but its not a realistic solution for most people. This country is too big and families are spread out. Many time you have move for better paying work. Nigeria is a different country. The lack of infrastructure and security is a major factor in families living in compounds there.

How is sharing expenses with someone a fantasy? I don't see anything wrong with two families living together either if that gives them an opportunity to save money and escape lifelong debt. Buy a house together, slap up some walls and create multifamily space. I'd much rather share expenses and have a little money in the bank than to live alone and be struggling.

Yes people get laid off, have health issues and all that but having money in the bank helps with shyt like that. Being without income and needing only to come up with $500 worth of expenses is way better than needing to come up with twice that much. 5 people living together making $28k doesn't have to scrape by for their life.

I tried to explain to people like @Rawtid

This is nonsense

Businesses dont save money

They spend and spend.
Man I run a business. I've been in business since 06 and its because of good money management. Cashflow is a necessity for survival.

My boy owns a transportation service, a graphic design company, and has a corporate job. Lives with his parents , his brother, his bro wife.. some kids. and an aunt.

He said that he only has to pay his cell phone, splits the heat --- he makes like 120K.. and he's just starting off, a young nikka like 24/25. Saving madddd money.

I wish that I had a fam like that. :why:
