It’s nice, but those Beetlejuice floors are ugly. America is so damn overpriced.

Another case of tricked by the HOA fee, that apartment would be over 1.5 million of it wasn't for its age and HOA fee. Alot of people don't pay attention to that when home shopping. $7k/month you can get a really nice home with a backyard in 90% of the country.

Yea but it's not getting you a large show-piece in the middle of a nice well-to-do area of Chicago. This is a vintage building and people pay mad money to get into a nice one. You can bet the lobby is incredible and looks like something out of a 1920s hotel. For the downsides of condos, the charm of this unit and building won't be matched by most housing stock.

Nice place.

It's so far out of my price range that I have no idea if it's a good price :manny:

You right my comment was more for the folks saying it's cheap.

Fair, but cheap is relative. Other major cities would absolutely be asking for millions for these types of units. In Chicago you can get this all the way down to 300k but its always very rarely on the market and the neighborhoods that have them are more expensive to live in. Still, this is way more reasonable than plopping the same building in NY City or San Fran.
