It's based on a seven day rolling average; keep in mind the President's approval is at 50% in the same poll.

Just use five thirty eight, as it's the most useful resource there is.

I'd go for a prediction of 281-257 or, if I'm pessimistic, 276-262 in Obama's favor both ways. I think the wild cards here are CO, NH, and OH. I think VA and FL are locks for Romney at this point. VA is Coal country, and Obama is very unpopular in Coal Country, while the FL polls have had Romney ahead for some time.

:what: What are laughing at idiot? If you take the swing state polling average for what they are, Obama wins 294-244 right now like I said.

i got it at 277-261. i gave florida, virginia, colorado, new hampshire to romney. everything else to obama. it's looking like the midwest will be obama's path to the white house.

this sucks. whichever u look at it, romney shouldn't be up in the polls this close to election day. this is bad yall.

i just hope obama supporters see this as a surefire reason to get out and vote because obama is going to need every one of them!

VA can go either way. I tend to think it still leans blue because of the rising NOVA population. Romney could definitely win though. We'll see.

I'm still trying to figure out what the hell Romney did to suddenly become more popular, is this a case of people looking for any reason to jump off Obama and support another candidate?
