Ive explained it ad nauseum. He isnt as good as people say and it annoys me :manny: he has the fugazi tough guy aura that isnt as convincing as even 97 taz, who was way better in the same style. Hes all hype.

Joe's promos can't bring it across, but in the ring it does 100% and that's all that matters to me. Taz couldn't have been half as convincing in ring against Brock. He looked hilarious against HHH in 2000 stripped away from Heyman genius booking.

Sasha came off as a real a$$hole on Talking Raw. Face, heel, worked, shoot, the "You weren't a fan growing up so you don't count/respect DIS BIZNESS" shyt is the cringiest, most self-serving and self-aggrandizing martyrdom promo one can cut. It makes EVERYONE who says that shyt look like a whiny bytch. Especially when they're in their early 20s and didn't even start being aware of wrestling themselves until the Attitude Era.

Real sports are full of top tier athletes who didn't like the sport their in as a kid, nor do they enjoy playing it as a pro, but they're really good at it and it makes them money. No one ever shyts on those talents. shyt, WRESTLING ITSELF was almost exclusively non-fans until the 90s and on. It was full of real athletes or bouncers who flunked out of whatever other career and took up wrestling as a second option, or who did a sport that didn't really have a pro level to get paid and went into wrestling, or were just big dudes and someone said "hey, you ever try wrestling?".

Some of the biggest stars of the past 40 years weren't fans growing up. Nash, Angle, Hall, Goldberg, Nikita, Magnum, Warrior, Sting, Bruno, Hansen, Jack Brisco, Harley, etc etc etc and on and on and on. After all that hand wringing over the Alexa/Bayley angle where the heel made fun of the face for being a loser wrestling fan, the follow up feud has the face prove the heel right in a promo meant to be endearing to the fans. Loool.

As for the real show: That cut on Matt's eye was disgusting. I don't even understand how he did it, but fukk. Stroman/Roman putting on another classic with the :russ: as hell (yet pretty perfect, tbh) ending. Brock/Joe being a real match built on the story of "Joe dominated Brock, and Brock barely survived" while the crowd was at least 70% on Joe's side despite Joe being the clear heel was great even if the match itself certainly couldn't live up to the decade of hype. Joe's stock is at an all time high right now and I have no doubt he'll stay in the main event for a while. I got to thinking that the original plan was for that to be Balor's spot, and Balor wasn't even on nor mentioned at all on the show.:mjlol:

Are we shocked? We said this montns ago when rumors were popping up after Mania. Brock has an endurance problem.

Lmao Brock has literally never had an endurance problem in his life. Brock's matches are short because it makes no sense for a guy built up like Brock to be having the same 20+ minute back and forth matches like everyone else. Just like it didn't make sense for Goldberg to have long matches. Or Andre.

Brock Lesnar matches SHOULD NOT be long any more.

If he was still wrestling like he was in 2002. I'd be all for it, his moveset was piff.

But now? Hell no, it'd suplex city, the opponent might back elbow him and gain some offense, eventually Lesnar uses their momentum against them and start suplex city again til he does the F5

Nah im good on that

Breh the two main matches were worth a buy.

Brock & Joe went 6:25, that's bullshyt to me. If there's something where Brock can't physically go more than 10 mins, he needs to be Andre the giant in the midcard. I know UFC & Boxing (more so in the past) are known to have main events ending short due to stoppages, but in wrestling u control the result and are able to provide max entertainment every time. The benefit of being fake.

Disappointed the Joe brock match wasn't slightly longer but Joe still looked great in it.

He lost but it was only because of one mistake or lapse in judgement.

Also glad we're going back to finishers actually finishing a match off, these kick out fests are great but there should only be one or two a year to culminate the biggest feuds.
