Live from Chicago, it's AEW Dynamite Beach Break presented by Shark Week. With Forbidden Door in the rearview, here's the card (so far):

AEW International Championship: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Daniel Garcia

Men's Owen Hart Tournament Semifinal: Bryan Danielson vs. PAC

Men's Owen Hart Tournament Quarterfinal: Jeff Jarrett vs. ?????

Women's Owen Hart Tournament Semifinal: Kris Statlander vs. Willow Nightingale

Mercedes 2 Belts Celebrates...

...until the Doctor (probably) shows up

More to come...

I know the show is not drawing well for a Chicago event, but they've promoted matches in advance and gave the audience a good idea of what they will see. This is the type of effort they should put every week for the rest of the year, at the very least.

this is what they need to be doing for Collision especially, Dynamite you still have the general impression you'll get to see most of AEW's top talent, with Collision you're going in blind until days before the actual event.

I think it's an overall problem. Even if a % of the fanbase will rightly assume Dynamite has the bigger chance of showing the biggest stars, they still have no clue if when they are in their area they'll see Ospreay, Mercedes, MJF, Mox, Danielson, etc. The only safe bet is getting the world champ in some capacity.

Having 1 or 2 matches announced with 10 days advance, promote them during TV and then having local promotion is a must do for this company. It has been for more than a year to be honest, but shows like this one make it clear that they can do it if they actually want to.

In what way? Why would she be so upset to "come out swinging"? :dwillhuh:
Britt was the first woman signed to AEW

Mercedes coming in from you know where is looking to change the division (For the Better)

Britt should feel some type of way about that since she’s been the backbone of the division since the beginning

right now it seems like they only know how to book out quality matches in advance when they are part of a tournament, when they can start getting more layered stories put together where upper midcard or better guys face off consistently then both the TV and attendance will pick up

The thing about Baker is that she has the same problem HHH used to have. Their promos tend to only hype themselves up and make the opponent look like shyt so I'm not really eager for her to be all "who you think you are saying the women's division in AEW need saving" because it really did needed Mercedes :pachaha:

Not sure how far in advanced booking can be done. Especially with 1 big roster and not split like WWE. Cuz then you can book a match now for Raw and it's separate from SD. One would assume that if they were to book a match for next weeks dynamite that they wouldn't see the superstars involved in this week's show or in a match.

One way would likely be to split up the feuds on a consistent basis where let's say some are featured on weeks A and C and others on B & D.

You just need to run a graphic 3 weeks in advance and say "Dynamite is coming to *insert town*, don't miss MJF, Mercedes Moné and Bryan Danielson live. The American Dragon will be in action". Then 2 weeks in advance you announce Dragon's match and decide what to do with MJF and Mercedes and promote it.

I refuse to believe it's hard or not viable to do this, is just having a set calendar :pachaha:. From what the top talent has said in interviews, they know weeks in advance when they are taking time off and not gonna be on TV.

And like Cattle has said before, it's just as easy having your top people put in social media their next 8 weeks of their schedule. This shyt should be pretty damn simple to pull off.

Oh ok yeah i see what you mean. At least having a plan ready but not getting way ahead of the storyline. Not saying who they will fight but that they will be in action.

Have they done that before? Feel like they did but not sure.

It’s exceedingly rare for any TV match/appearance to be announced more than a week in advance.
