In other words I don’t want him fighting Boots because he might lose. Okay got it.
:mjlol:My nikka you don't know how far off you can be. I have no history of stanning anything on this forum or SOHH. I'm not even sure why you tried to include me in y'all Stan war shyt:yeshrug:. I'm simply making an observation based on the understanding of how the business of boxing works. This nikka could fight Boots, Mell Charlo, Stanionis, Virgil Ortiz, and Canelo in the same day on some Diggstown Honey Roy Palmer shyt and lose them all, IDGAF. I am not emotionally tied to the success or failure of athletes beyond being entertained. That shyt stopped a loooong time ago... Unless we talking bout my own kids:mjcry:

Get off the stan shyt for a second and see what I was saying. It doesn’t matter if Crawford was making more than PBC fighters, or that he got 10 for his last fight or 20 for this one. My point is that he could’ve been making that much for the last five years for every fight if these high caliber fights took place years earlier. PBC plays a huge part in that as do Top Rank and Bud. These promotional companies milk these fighters for far too long getting decent money against favorable matchups which works great for the fighter but severely limits their earning potential because the fights don’t generate buzz.

What helped Floyd and Manny make their names was swallowing ego and making less than half of a De La Hoya for the chance to showcase their talents and personalities. Once they increased their exposure the price of the brick went up for every fight after. Same way Spence was going to take a a lesser percentage to fight Manny. Bud being hard in negotiations is an example of winning a battle for individual fights but losing the war for when it comes to long money. A generation talent only getting that recognition at 36.

Floyd fans in here are going crazy

"Floyd became famous earlier!!!!!! :damn: "

"Crawford only became famous at 36!!!! :damn:"

dudes don't get match making lol. I'm not against Boots fighting Bud right now at all, but Bud right now is trying to seal his legacy and Boots does nothing for it.

From a match maker standpoint it makes sense to
1.Bud moves to 154, fights Tim which brings in the Aussie crowd (maybe even do the fight there on some Street fighter takeover shyt)
2.The leaves both Mel and Bud open for Spring, as regardless of the Canelo fight step aside shouldn't be an issue.
3.Boots is elevated, and I assume Dude who was gonna fight Ortiz can be elevated to WBA and have Boots vs him to Unify 147 (WBA + IBF)
4.Assuming Boots wins he could fight Thurman/Ugas winner to Unify WBC (unless they don't fukk over Cody Crowley).
5. Bud/Charlo Winner defends 154 undisputed 1 more time in fall.
6. If Boots takes care of business and assuming Charlo is out the picture you now have a 2025 big fight of Boots vs Bud at 154 and probably Buds last match. By then Boots would be established as that guy.

The only reason you put Boots in now is if you want to do the fight at discount + do it in Omaha.
Boots would probably be a fun match to watch now. But like you said, their goals don't seem to align right now to where the match will happen. Something like this scenario playing out would probably develop a great buildup for a Crawford Boots clash in about 3 fights that generates a lot more money and interest. I think Boots would be more of a threat to win that fight then as well.

Rabid Crawdford fanboys: "Errol was overhyped and overrated"

Boxing: "Who is Buds best win?"

fanboys: "Errol"

:martin:

Quote who you are speaking of because they don’t know shyt about boxing and probably not a real Bud fan, just some bandwagoner.

I said for years Errol would be the king of the welterweights and only one man was going to dethrone him.

If you want some more ammo, go into the Brook vs Spence thread lol. I remember battling these Stans about Spence's bad habits & pointing it out but they of course didn't acknowledge any of it & were going at me. I think my nikka @HARLEM AL was riding for Spence back then too & him & me were going back & forth in there :heh:

Might be porter :mjpls: Porter actually looked competitive:mjpls:
This and Porter was the litmus test for the elites of the division during his era. He fought everybody and he actually fought them.

Don’t say his name as if you are talking down on it

Had to rewatch.

Bud kicking Spence ass and telling Jermell at the same damn time you're next :wow:
Watch the energy of both fighters in their corner before the match begins. Errol’s energy us super low. Scary low actually, when they announced his name and had the camera in front of him he looked like he was already gassed

Your energy would be low too if you knew you were about to get exposed in front of the whole world. Took the easy route only to find himself at a dead end :mjcry:
