He top 10 ever rn, first male to be undisputed in 2 different weight classesEither way if bud gets undisputed in 3 weight classes he's top 10 ever.
So if the rematch doesn't happen by December then bud is free to do whatever he wants. And no way in hell PBC should allow Spence to fight again in December. No fukkin way.
I'm actually pissed now that canelo is fighting jermell. As a boxing fan. It would have been incredible to see bud move up next and go for undisputed in 3 weight classes. Now if canelo ruins jermell it won't be the same. But a bud vs tszu fight would be exciting. Either way if bud gets undisputed in 3 weight classes he's top 10 ever.
Entirely possible that Spence has issues from the accidents.
Still destroyed Ugas though. Ugas was hitting him and it just pissed Spence off.
I don't buy the excuses. He looked slow like a top fighter looks slow against Floyd. Man just got taken apart by a better fighter.
From halfway through the second round, when they clenched and Crawford pushed him back, Crawford upped a gear and Spence was floundering from there.
Those heavy blows from Spence eventually take their toll, Crawford didn't allow that to happen. Just a masterclass of boxing.
People been saying Spence looks high since the beginning of his career.
PBC hired doogie howser to do damage control now
I agree, Spence was extremely overrated. Another PBC hype machine. Not to undermine Spence resume but the ease with which Bud boxed that nikka head off really has me wanting to go back and evaluate wtf Spence other opponents were doing
Mikey was probably too small, Danny was too stiff and slow, Porter is just not a sophisticated enough boxer probably. But a guy like Ugas was someone I thought was an aight boxer. Need to rewatch that jawn and see why he couldn't nullify what Spence wanted to do. Bud made that shyt look mad simple and easy
Exactly. Sometimes you just gotta accept that your favorite fighter isn't what you thought. If you're a boxing fan long enough it comes with the territory. That's what makes being a boxing fan so exciting. The highs and the lows.I'm a huge Manny fan. Manny has been my guy for as long as I can remember. He lost to Floyd fair and square. I wasn't on no "They shoulda fought 5 years ago" or none of that goofy shyt. He lost. That's it.
This is what happens when fans treat these fighters like deities and forget they're human.
Crawford was and is the better fighter. It was the biggest reason why he was the betting favorite.
If Spence were to fight Pacquiao, he would be EVEN MORE EMBOLDENED to duck Crawford. Spence would make like $5-$15 mill for that fight, gain even more fans and say that "Oh Crawford is not a PPV guy, there's no money fighting him".
people been questioning whether he was slurring or not years before any accidentPeople been saying Spence looks high since the beginning of his career.
This I agree with, but that often happens when you have handlers around you and you believe in your own ego. Happens to the best of em. Hope it retires. If Spence suffered more damage from the car crash, than we were lead to believe then it's his team's fault for allowing him to cocontinue fighting
Not similar circumstances. This isn't the case of a fighter just losing, losing happens in boxing tons of my favorite fighters have lost. We're discussing why he should retire.I'm a huge Manny fan. if he fought Manny I could see it being a rematch type situation
Spence had trouble with Bud speed, movement and his left hand. I wouldn't been surprised if the Manny fight would have been closer than people expected and warranted rematch(s)
That being said Spence always claimed he wanted to be undisputed so it's possible they would have made it work with Bud just getting a worse split
people been questioning whether he was slurring or not years before any accident
his general demeanor has always caused that kind of questioning
damn that answers my question in the other thread about whether the "1 more fight left" thing only applied to the rematch
it's more pressure on PBC to push for that rematch now

That's what I'm saying. That level of precision and accuracy is unheard of at this stage. This was supposed to one of the most epic showdowns in boxing history. And bud turned it into one of the most epic beat downs in boxing history. He didn't do that to a bum. He did that to a top 5 p4p GREAT fighter. Really sit back and think about that.
