One thing that blew me away was the class of the Japanese crowd. They showed Fulton more respect in defeat for merely taking the fight than Americans would have shown him for BEATING Inoyue. Dude got a standing ovation on his exit and he didn't even address the crowd or give a ring interview. You just KNOW they loving him out there.

Meanwhile Haney gets booed cursed out and attacked by crowd members for winning in his hometown.
Japan might actually be the best place for boxing...seriously...everything there is done with class

and as someone who has seen haney fight live on his turf..i concur on that statement

Mainly surprised by how easily Inoue outboxed Fulton
This was supposed to be a matchup of power vs slick boxing. Inoue had the speed, power, and boxing advantage. Fulton pretty much had no chance in this fight. Inoue had him gunshy from the rip. Fulton blocked a lot of shots but his body was getting torn up with those jabs
Fighting scared with no conviction...I thought he was gonna fight harder after round 5 based on his pride and ego for being undefeated. Sad sight.

A lot of Youtube boxing channels are a joke, really. Too much fanboy bullshyt and not enough rational analysis. A lot of of these guys realize the void that exists in boxing on Youtube and pander to casuals. They don't actually have any substance, just nationalistic shyt that they know will draw people.
Sounds like the Ring the last couple
Of years :mjpls:

That jab set the table for Monster bro. It was THE most important punch & tactic of the fight. Cool Boy couldn't do a damn thing about it either. After the 2nd round, I knew it was a matter of time before the right hand was coming down the middle to hurt & stop him.

A high jab at that, hard to see past/around or counter it if you're winning the jab battle. I expected more from Fulton in regards to controlling pace and not getting cut off/boxed in, it is what it is though

I'm from Philly but have to admit he was fighting scared as hell. Looked like he wanted no parts of closing the distance and was getting picked apart from the outside despite everyone considering him the better boxer

that up jab was more than enough to take fulton's jab away and offense altogether

Fulton fought scared ? :mjtf:

The reason why he got knocked out was because he abandoned the back foot, standing in mid-range shyt and it actually led to him winning a round ,landing his best shots BUT getting knocked the fukk out .

The way y’all slander nikkas because a fight ain’t go the way you expect is wack as hell .

The hell happened to this forum .

The jab and his lateral movement is what I thought would give Fulton an edge. Inoue beat Fulton to the jab everytime and he kept cutting the ring off which was actually the biggest difference maker from what I saw, not the jab or the power, Inoue forced Fulton to stand in one spot cause he kept hawking him down and Fulton was never gonna win a fight like that against Inoue he doesn't have the power or activity for it, similar to what Spence gonna do to Crawford if he tries to repeat his tactics againdt Postol. Inoue and Spence two best fighters in the world of cutting the ring off and making you fight stationary.

Did you just compare Inuoe's speed and athleticism in closing the distance to Errol Spence?

Exactly! I'll never underestimate Monster's boxing IQ again. The dude processes & reacts at an ELITE level. I'm talking Mayweather & Roy Jones level

Honestly, I think Inoue is may be the closest complete boxer to Floyd. To me the biggest factors are the processing speed and the art of ring generalship that shows right away. From basically the 2nd half of round 1 on Inoue knew when to be first and knew what to be first with based on what the opponent was doing.

A lot of fighters who try to be like Floyd take his "tricks" and techniques, but they don't have the actual foundation and skill from the ground up and I don't think you can teach that.

:snoop: breh, dont do this.

I mean they prop up every black fighter in a fight against a non black fighter :manny:

Personally I don't agree with it but in boxing, a lot of people side with their race and/or countryman

boxing attracts the lowest common denominator so the discussions will be as such. If you thought the hot takes in NBA were bad hoooo

That's what I been saying! Fulton didn't go out like no punk! These dudes acting like he was curled up in the fetal position letting Inoue smack him around or something. :mjlol:
