To be honest, Postol was always an ordinary B level guy. Lundy and Aydin were decent wins, but the Matthysse KO was fools good. Lucas was a top guy in the division on a nice lil hot streak, but he wasn't the peak level monster that guys like Swift and Peterson fought. Dude was on a slight decline, but was still the favorite over Postol. He then proceeds to get bushwhacked and now Postol is seen as some type of elite boxer.
The only reason the fight was made out to be tough for Crawford, was because Postol was the other top guy in the division so it's only natural to elevate him a lil. Same thing they did with Lacy and Calzaghe. If you knew you're boxing, it was obvious one was better than the other significantly, but that extra lil hype makes some cats level it out for the sake of a big fight.
Demarco is prolly on the same level as Postol if you wanna keep it real. I'd take his early KO of Molina and his KO of Linares over Postol's late KO's of Aydin and Mattysse.
It's just that we already seen Valero give Demarco that work, so it wasn't hard to envision another talented guy like Broner for example, doing the same thing if not better.
Beltran and Burns were more competitive with Crawford.and those were on free tv (HBO n Wealth)
Crawford still gets props for the win. You can't take that away from him. Would love to see him fight a guy that's really on his level though. (Thurman, Swift, Broner etc..)

Styles make fights & we're talking about naturally bigger guys he would be fighting that are just as skilled. I was high on Imam (still am) but he's a little more green than I thought. He's tall, accurate, & can punch. And you can touch Bud because he's not a defensive wizard. But if they were to fight now I would expect Bud to stop him. I like Bud but AB statistically would give him problems because of his strength & accuracy. He wouldn't be able to move as freely as he did with Postol because AB can cut off the ring better
I can't fault Swift for that because it gave fans a bigger fight.

and according to boxrec craw has a 1inch reach n height advantage.
it would have been a bigger fight, if it wasn't a non title WW catchweight fight instead of a true unification attempt at JWW..which is shameful in comparison to ATGs like floyd and pac putting their WW belts on the lines at their proper division with no issue
the only good that came out of the fight is the fight thread on here, which is still the reigning GOAT Ring thread so far

It's okay if some of you still sceptical about Crawford even though I think it's harder ad harder being sceptical about him but I think he has all the goods and would probably beat anyone in jr ww and ww. Maybe Spence that can be a true 50-50 but I still have to see Spence one more level above to decide that.
I know he wan't even in 147 so far but he convinced me enough.
