Splitting up the women's divsion was a terrible idea. Now on Raw and Smackdown, you're just gonna see the same 5-6 women face off against each other week after week.

They should have done something like Raw gets the cruiserweight and women's division, Smackdown gets the tag division

They were already doing this lol. Smackdown has the newer broads who wouldn't be getting shine without the split.

Anyone else catch that Smackdown wrestlers only have to work 3 nights for the moment?

That might change eventually but right now they only have to work on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.

That could have alot to do with the draft. Styles, Orton, Cena old motherfukkers

The draft picks made no sense whatsoever but at the end of the day it will all come down to booking anyway. So the big question is, do Steph and Shane actually get some leeway by Vince to book the shows their way or not? Because if they do, I expect Smackdown to deliver a far more interesting show every single week.

Also, this is as good a time as any to give all the members of tag teams single runs as well. One of the dumbest things in wrestling is this shyt about if you're in a tag team, you suddenly never compete as a singles wrestler again. There are so many more angles you can play when you do and it's not like this doesn't happen in other sports, lots of tennis players compete in both single and double matches (even in the same tournament).

According to ShowBuzzDaily.com, the debut edition of WWE Smackdown Live, featuring the WWE draft and a WWE Title rematch, averaged 3.170 million viewers. This is up big from last week’s show which averaged 2.068 million viewers.

This week’s Smackdown was also the most watched episode of the show since February, 2014, and it even tied this week’s Raw viewership number.

Smackdown ranked #6 for the night on cable TV behind coverage of the Republican National Convention.

Based on history, it's gonna be Raw that ends up tanking and starting poaching SD. People might laugh at me saying this, but let Rowan, Ascension, and Baron Corbin start legitimately become engaging characters, and then watch Raw swoop in and gut them, sending washed Big Show and Jericho over to SD. It always happens

Let's just pretend Cesaro is this unfairly held down talent who could be a super duper star, but the McMahons and evil Kevin Dunn hate him because he's Swiss. Not that they see him as a solid hand in the mid card who can reliably fill 10-15 minutes of TV with a solid enough match, but can't cut promos and has terrible to non-existent character work for his entire career. I'm sure he'd have so much more luck on Smackdown, where it looks like he's going to need a character and promo work even more than on Raw.

It's definitely not his fault he hasn't worked on the two most important things you need to have in WWE. People seem to forget that he was hired not because he was an indie darling putting on 5 star matches, but because he was twice as big as everyone on the indies. He's been on TV for 4 years, still has no character or promo skills whatsoever. He got in the door because he was big, looked good, and was competent in the ring, with the obvious implication that he'd pick up the promo stuff along the way. Which he hasn't. Which is why it doesn't matter what show he's on: He's mid card for life. And now he cuts quasi shoot promos about how he resents having to work on his promos. In the one company in the world where being able to cut promos is more important than anywhere else.
