the crowd was CRAZY behind shibata during his match with Omega. It told a pretty sublime story, and showed that despite how much fans hate how "cartoony" he is, Omega is still every bit as dangerously good as the rep he would have us believe. It's amazing how Omega's constant outmanuvering of Shibata made the latter feel like the underdog here.

Now we just need Naito/Omega so we can have the GoonGod bracket pecking order firmly established.

The woman in the video sounded like Lori Petty's character from Orange is the New Black:dead:

I'd love a short Ishii run because it would shuffle a lot of shyt but he'll be lucky if he even gets an IC run :francis:
I'd be down for it. Have Ishii go to ROH/Noah as the little bully champion who wants to conquer every challenger for the fukk of it. Headbutts for all:blessed: Somehow show up in BJW and go at it with Daisuke or Yuji :blessed:

Ishii vs Okada was great. Liger screaming "CHANCE! CHAAANCE!!!! :damn:" when Ishii got the upper hand was awesome. What made this stand out was Osaka though. This was a "your turn/my turn" type of match, not much of a story but just two dudes taking turns beating the fukk out of each other, but Osaka was so fukking into it that it pushed the match to a higher level. Right man won too considering how the match unfolded. LOVED my man Ishii chopping the fukk outta Okada when he went for the rainmaker pose, I had a legit :obama: reaction to it.

Not sure I would call it a "legit MOTYC" (in the sense of being a top 3 match so far this year) but it certainly is worth praising it.

Breh, an invading Ishii facing one of those two dudes (or vice versa) in front of Korakuen Hall has been a dream match for me since 2010, specially Daisuke :wow:

Edit: Ishii has to be the most underrated wrestler ever. You can always count on him to deliver piff matches

Naaah. Once New Japan became more popular in the IWC Ishii became a favorite of people really quickly (for obvious reasons, he is awesome) and always gets props. He was reaaally underrated from 2009 to 2013-14 (I always forget when New Japan hit it big for the US internet fan) though, he was always a lock for a MOTYC whenever New Japan gave him a chance to shine - which was normally on a smaller show at Korakuen - and it took a long ass time for the company to give him a role were he could have more standout matches. As a fan of him since 09' I never would've thought he could get this kind of exposure and praise 7 years later. The G-1 run he had in 2014 and all the praise he got had me legit happy.

The Nagano number still buggles my mind, something weird happened there or they just ran a small set up. Glad they are making good business but we all know the real test is gonna be the 3 Sumo Hall shows. Last year they got 5k, 7k and 10k with a stronger roster so if this year they do better they'll have a real reason to celebrate.
