the crowd was CRAZY behind shibata during his match with Omega. It told a pretty sublime story, and showed that despite how much fans hate how "cartoony" he is, Omega is still every bit as dangerously good as the rep he would have us believe. It's amazing how Omega's constant outmanuvering of Shibata made the latter feel like the underdog here.

Now we just need Naito/Omega so we can have the GoonGod bracket pecking order firmly established.

Sounds like my type of match

And Omega/Naito is my most anticipated from the start

I wonder if they put Fale over Okada to create a bunch of ties going into Sumo Hall for the final day of Block A. That way they can book a tie between Okada and Tana and give Goto/Maru the chance to reach the finals...or maybe Okada just wins the block easily :heh:

Nagata vs Nakajima was great. Veteran vs newcomer was a great story. Crazy how over Nagata is, his eye roll gets a crazy pop. shyt even I mark out for that

Marufuji/Sanada was great. Maru has some great strikes but some of those super kicks looked like shyt. Sanada has to be one of my new favorites, Same with Marufuji

Ishii/Tana eclipsed all the other matches that day. Incredible match, Those strikes were vicious and the disrespect Ishii showed was great as it caused Tana to show some fire too. Probably my favorite tourney match so far.

Makabe is instant skip for me. Dude is not interesting

Off topic: Anybody have links for the whole Tana/Shibata series. Can't find them anywhere

Edit: Ishii has to be the most underrated wrestler ever. You can always count on him to deliver piff matches

I know right. If he bust out the Nagata Lock with the salute even once, I'm gonna lose it. :salute:

Reps on backorder

Dude is like a force of nature. gonna be insta-heel no matter who he's fighting (not wrestling), comes out looking like your grandmomma's boyfriend and then he's gonna maul them to death. Whomever it is, they're going to have to pull out some extraordinary stops to win.... before he kills them.

Or dragon screws. :russ:

But I swear kayfabe wise, Ishii is the toughest wrestler alive.

:dwillhuh::what::why::dahell::patrice::what::jbhmm: what in the entire hell

Makes no sense in terms of hierarchy but it's the only match left before the final day of Block A. It's the only way other people catch up to Okada before Sumo Hall. If Okada beats Fale (the more logical result) then he has a huge advantage going into the last day of his block, with Tanahashi trying to play the role of spoiler. But Tana beating Okada would be even more :mindblown: than Fale getting a fukkery win to make things more interesting for Sumo Hall.

Glad to see Ishii get some love. Stone Pitbull deserves a title run better than that NEVER shyt.

Him and Big Mike could have a great battle for the IC IMHO

He should've gotten a 2 month run last year if Gedo didn't misread so badly that Tana/Okada didn't need another year of build (that ended up clogging everything in the title scene). I'd love a short Ishii run because it would shuffle a lot of shyt but he'll be lucky if he even gets an IC run :francis:

I'm reading places that Okada/Ishii is a legit MOTYC? Like, a legit contender even compared to the two 5 star caliber joints from Wrestle Kingdom? (AJ/Naka and Okada/Tana)

I can't find video yet:sadcam:
