BC should be disbanded because there's no point to it, y'alls country being fukked up in the head shouldn't dictate what a Japanese stable does though

True on both counts, but I know of more than a few fans who have stopped wearing BC shirts in public because of it, that's a factor on declining sales in some way.

I'm not saying disband the stable because of mass shootings, but that the effect is yet another reason why they should.

Tbh I think more people would stop wearing BC merch not because of the never ending mass shootings here, but because the Bullet Club is now: Jay White, G.O.D., Fale, and Chase Owens. Who the fukk would want to rep that group?

I don't think age is an issue. Kota is 37 just like Naito and dude still moves around like he's 7 years younger.

Okada/Ibushi/Naito can hold the fort for the next 2-3 years, which is when Shota should be getting his big push. And then you have Yoshida and Narita ready to take the next step by that time too. You add to that the contributions of people like Omega, Moxley and whoever else gets a New Japan run in the near future and they have it pretty much covered. They also have Sanada and Shingo (36, but like Kota, still moving like his younger self) as a safety valves if people get injured.


I don't think the "outrage" over Naito will mean much to be honest. They have enough stars to draw in Japan regardless of how they book Naito, and whatever bytching online by us westerners means jackshyt to their business to be honest (and people will watch anyway because they love the quality of the matches)

Honestly, there is nothing wrong with pushing some of the young guys but look at Okada. He's 31 (same generation as SANADA and Juice) yet he's already a five time IGWP champion on top of being the longest reigning champion and having the record for most title defenses. That is on top of two G1 wins and two New Japan Cup wins. Fans accept that (for the most part) because Okada is genuinely top 3 in the world but it also is a testimony to Gedo doing way too much for a talent who still has at least 5-10 years ahead of being a top guy in NJPW, while the rest of the roster is booked to be stuck in the oblivion that is NJPW's midcard.

To emphasize, 13 of the 20 contestants G1 were booked to finish at 8 points! 13! How is anyone supposed to come out of this G1 looking like they have gained anything from it when they are booked like a monolith of wins and losses. Nobody came out of this G1 looking better than they did going in, especially because the two finalists are exactly who everyone expected them to be and the runner-ups are the IGWP Heavyweight champion plus Goto and Naito aka Gedo's lifetime runner-ups.
