That's a very thin line Gedo is walking with White right now. Getting booed by a japanese crowd can be very good or very bad. I remember when Suzuki Gun invaded NOAH some years ago they were HATED, booed out of the building and legit heat type stuff. But they were so hated that fans stopped going to shows and the company ended up in their lowest point ever

I rarely check Reddit but I was looking at their NJPW sub this morning for reactions because The Coli in general is such a shythole that I'm looking to see what other wrestling boards are out there, and some of you must post over there. Over-the-top Jay White hate and tears for Naito.

Didn’t they over push Naito to the point that he had to do a second excursion where he joined Los ingobernals? Same thing might end up happening to Jay.

Naito has finally been definitively destroyed. First double champion indeed. Be a face (ish), guarantee something and totally fail brehs.

It'll be very interesting to get a total face/heel divide for the final. I imagine Kota is winning so Okada can get his win back at the dome. Bit of an underwhelming last day in fairness, don't have real high hopes for the final either.
Also, I think Moxley is broken G1 schedule is nothing to fukk with.

Yeah, in 2010 -after he returned from his excursion from CMLL - Naito was seen as the next guy.. At the same time, Okada was showing he was the heir of Tanahashi's place as the Ace so most people figured out that those two were going to be generational rivals. Their match in 2012 in Korakuen pretty much was meant as a symbol of them as the future of the company.
In 2013 it was considered "Naito's time" to be go from promising young guy to legit main eventer. Thing was, by that time his "Stardust genius" persona was very stale so when he got the green light push fans were
about him. So his push was halted, and he remained lost in the shuffle for a year, until New Japan finally decided to send him to Mexico and let him do a Chono-like turn with a gimmick change that turned his career around.I don't think Jay is quite there yet...unless he wins tomorrow, which I really don't see happening (then again, I sad the same thing for WK 12 and I

I know they want to crown Ibushi, much better crowd support against Jay than Naito...but I've had enough of the imaginary ceiling.
It's Nakamura all over again.
Also, they should disband Bullet Club entirely. Mass shootings really make it inappropriate to wear their stuff, and since the U.S. averages one a day, just blow the stable up in spectacular fashion.
