Still watching this. Finished the Ishii/Cobb match (would have been much better as a 10 minute fireworks display than the overlong 18 minute match it actually was) and I'm currently about halfway through the Goto/White match.

I think I officially hate this boring a$$hole Jay White. I have no idea what Gedo or the NJPW office sees in his corny goth look or sub-Cody Rhodes heat segments. Every time I watch White wrestle I hate wrestling just a little more than I did beforehand.

It's still so weird to me that Kawada's main pupil became a weirdo pop singer stripper guy in tiny trunks.

Kobashi had KENTA and Go
Misawa had Marufuji (weird in its own way, really)
Taue had Sugiura and Morishima
Kawada had....Taichi

:francis:

Shingo/Juice was dope. Cobb/Ishii was dope if too long. I'm firmly on the no Yano, no Taichi, no Jay White, no Fale trains.

Night 3

Archer vs Fale: Don't know why I watched this. Short and slooooooow brawl. 10 minutes that felt like 40. I've seen others saying this was Fale's best match in forever, and well, that's a very, very low bar.

Sanada vs Ospreay: These cheapskates dubbed Ospreay's music. Amazing match. Great exchanges, lots of flippy shyt, very smooth.

Edit: Ah.

Okada vs Sabre: Man, that scrawny octopus is relentless. He had Okada in trouble for most of the match, and worked on his Rainmaker arm, but this is Okada, and that wasn't enough.

EVIL vs Ibushi: Lot of focus on Ibushi's fukked up foot, which gave us a more "grounded" match. Seems like he will have to make more research at his institute. It was very good.

Tana vs KENTA: For some reason, Shibata has wrist tape on for commentary. Maybe to slap Milano if he talks shyt. Match of the night. KENTA is including Shibata moves into his offensive. This isn't the year of the Ace. A**hole KENTA got the best of Tana and he refused to give him some respect. It probably will take some time.

This has been a very unpredictable field, and I like that a lot :ehh:

Jay White is the wrestler people imagine when they talk shyt about Cody Rhodes. Him and Taichi need to just break down and form a stable called "Mid-Boss".

Like... I wanna stan cause Goto won and closed the show. but it's Jay White, so :francis:

Of course Ospreay didn't fukking sell the Paradise Lock. :francis: I guess getting kicked in the ass to sell SANADA's hold wasn't cool enough for him.

I guess they're putting over the rope Paradise Lock as SANADA's new hold, but there wasn't a better way to get to it? Maybe I'm just getting a little too annoyed by Ospreay's antics in general...

My dumbass over here watching the wrong event. :snoop:

I get home and decide to watch some before the ppv tonight and I go on watch wrestling and click the link. First match happens and its a tag match like they started with last weekend. So I'm like ok cool. Then all of a sudden Moxley comes out with some japanese guy. I'm like damn wasn't expecting his match to start the show. Then all of a sudden I see his boy introduced also and I'm like, something tells me this ain't what I need to be watching. They gonna name the show the same thing on watchwrestling and got me thinking I was watching the g1 tournament. :francis:

Maybe you were watching the prelims? Because Moxley was in a tag match with Shota.
