Juice vs Shingo: Second best match of the night. Juice is the opposite of Samson. Lost the hair, became better. Vicious, vicious lariats. Shingo brought it, but can he survive in the land of the heavyweights?

Moxley vs Taichi: Short brawl, nothing special. Don't despair, Taichi fans, he still has a long way to go. CZW got a shoutout on the Japanese commentary. Miho Abe is delicious.

Naito vs Yano: Short comedy match, the usual Yano stuff. Naito tried to beat him at his own game but few can outsmart the Producer's antics.

Ishii vs Cobb: What a great hoss war. My favorite match of the evening. Ishii is my 2019 MVP so far and Cobb is very impressive. Impact is becoming the land of the short, muscular guys so they may try to replicate this with Elgin and Rhyno :skip:

Goto vs White: God fukking damn, Jay White is a bore. If I had to breathe with the switchblade I'd rather suffocate. Luckily for him Goto is very good and kept the match OK, surviving the actions of that dastardly traitor Gedo.

You think they gonna book Goto and/or Ishii to get at least a transition title run in 2020 once Okada drops
the belt? :jbhmm:

Given the result and the overwhelming support he's getting from the crowd, I think he's next in line... :blessed:

...for another NEVER Openweight title reign

Yano with the 1st Day* upset :krs: :troll:

Saw the two matches that interested me

Shingo Takagi vs Juice Robison - G1 Climax 7/13/19

A very good sprint with an awesome finishing run. There wasn't a lot to the match besides "two dudes colliding against each other" which is a tried and true formula that always works in matches that aren't very long and have both wrestlers do a good job, this match had that in spades and it delivered :obama:

Tomohiro Ishii vs Jeff Cobb - G1 Climax 7/13/19

The last 8 minutes were fukking awesome and exactly what you wanted out of this match: two big dudes beating the shyt out of each other with a great crowd popping for everything they did. The first 10 minutes were pretty meh though, specially because Cobb's strikes weren't very good during that part - he did compensate that by some impressive feats of strength, throwing Ishii around like a rag doll - and a lot of the match was based on strikes exchanges. I think that they will have an even better match once Cobb has a couple of tours in him. Still, really good match and that 2nd half was really great.

Best hoss match in years methinks.

:picard:

Okabayashi vs Zeus from this year's CC alone was better as a hoss battle.

Do heels ever give the final speech?

I'm asking because I never thought Jay White was winning the main event due to that fact.

Japanese heels, yes. Gaijin? Never really thought about it :ohhh:, did heel AJ gave final promos when he was on top?

It's time to come up :blessed:

They need to stop fukking around and let Shibata be the big homie for a faction, with Kenta and Goto and the LA Young Lions under him.

Suzuki beating on Okada and Yoshi Hashi like they owed him money :lolbron: Is it me or is he starting to grow out the mohawk again? shyt is like the horn in MGS 'Phantom Pain' the more :demonic:shyt he does, the more the mohawk grows :ohhh:

The block matches were fire

That might have been my favourite Juice match to date.

Miho Abe kneeling in reverence to Taichi will never not be hilarious to me :russ:

Mox held it down:obama:. Shota as his Samoan attorney/ belt carrier. :krs:

Yano :mjlol:

Ishii v Cobb delivered :banderas::banderas::banderas:

I get the Switchblade thing. I don't particularly care for him, but I get it. :hubie:

Watching this right now...I'm not gonna say that Cobb has Togi Makabe level striking...but it's actually closer than you'd think. Don't understand why they built a match around strike trading when one guy isn't really good at striking.

Nothing great so far (closest was the Juice/Shingo match), but a pretty enjoyable set of G1 matches nonetheless. Not touching the Dallas show as of right now though.

I believe that was Karl Anderson's task whenever it did happen.

they'll try to outdo NJPW by adding Cage to the match and make it a short muscular guy triple threat :pachaha:
