Humor seems to go under your radar over there from times breh

Tell a black marine that they can’t serve their muhfuggin country

Don't do it for this country, just do it for yourself. If you do want to do it for this country i just wanna let you know that your sense of patriotism will be quickly squashed especially if you join the marines. It's full force:mjpls: in this bytch.

If he was done one thing it's increased benefits for the military. I say do it. Before you join find a vet who has 100% disability so they can get you on game. Trust me don't go into the military without a plan. Also were you apply makes a difference in your pay. So try to join in a place with a higher average rent.
That made no sense and is completely wrong. BAH affects you based on where you are stationed. If you are stationed in a high cost of living area you will get paid more. Also, when you get out and go to school you can go to school wherever you want so "where you join from" won't make a difference. I would know, I literally got out 1 month ago.

They give you money for housing yes. In NYC for example it's like 3k a month vs somewhere else it might be 1k a month. So it would benefit you to apply in an area that gets you the high housing payment possible
Wrong, again. Where you join from has nothing to do with how much you get for BAH. Stop spreading false info :snoop:. The only things that affect BAH are:
1. If you are married and have dependents
2. where you get stationed, not where you join from
3. Where you end up going to school after you get out (you get paid BAH while in school, you can go to school anywhere in the country as long as you get accepted).

I'm sitting here trying to figure out where you're getting this information because it's completely wrong :mjlol:.

Trump actually pulled us out in Syria and we haven't been in any new wars under his administration yet, so why would Trump hold you back if you really wanted to go join? I have no doubt that Trump will eventually get us into war as all of these Presidents do, so if you value your life, I'd stay away from the military period especially since we are edging towards a possible world war.
Honestly I had this discussion with some officers one time on watch. They told me that the only way we would go to war is if China decided to invade Taiwan (which it seems like they will, eventually) or if Iran amps up it's nuclear program. These officers that I talked to were department heads for intel rates so I doubt that they were speaking out of their azzz.
Honestly both the Iran and Taiwan scenario would result in a clash with China. Keep in mind that we have a treaty with Taiwan to protect them in case they get invaded :francis:.

This was recent :francis:.

I’m 26 man so if this gon be the move I make, I better make it fukking count lol I need a fukking degree I can actually make some coin with.

Definitely not overly worried about combat. I’ve been ready to die at many times in my life so if I go, I go :manny: may Krishna protect me as I cross into the dark. I’m more worried about the nuts on base doing something crazy than an actual enemy

What’s a DOD contractor? :jbhmm:

Lmaoooo :ooh: :heh: why you say that?
im the same age as you. got out when i was 24. did over 4 years n some change.

at YOUR age... if you decide to enlist, you need to figure out while you in if you wanna do 1 enlistment or go for 20. dont be that guy that gets suckered into 2 contracts n then decides he dont like it n gets out at 33-36 years old. if you dont wanna do 20 years do a one n done(3 year).

for army youll get promoted fastest in combat arms(i was 11B) but i dont recommend that. go for the chillest job possible that will give you time do use your Tuition Assistance while you in.....or pick an MOS that will give you valuable training and certs that will be useful when you ETS. best if you can find somethin that provides both. The more school you can knock out with your TA, the more of your G.I. Bill you'll be able to use. lets say you get an associates while you in. when you out, use that GI to finish your bachelors in 2 years, and then you got 2 years left on your GI Bill so theres your masters, free of charge.

this is a good time to stack. you single? dont eat at subway with your battle buddies. fukk that, eat at the DEFAC. dont spend 1200 bucks in one night at the strip club after deployment, dont get married dont get married dont get married, and dont buy that Charger/Jeep/Camaro you always wanted. :francis:

Let the army pay for your school, your certs/training, your meals, etc.

the only thing you should be spending money on as a single dude in the barracks is your phone bill, clothes, etc. you can really build a nice nest egg for when you get out if you play it right.

Exactly. If I enlist, it’s just for one trip and that’s it. I’m single now, but I got a shorty I wanna start a family with in a few years. No crazy bills atm. I already got a BA degree so how much would that help in early ranking? And how does the GI Bill work exactly?
You got your degree? :gucci:

why the fukk you wanna enlist then? id go officer:picard:

if you enlist with a bachelors youll start at e4. which is cool but you still a nobody thts gonna get bossed around by 20 year olds.

theres 2 G.I. Bills. Post 9/11 and Montgomery. depending on where you live depends on which one you wanna pick. if you live in a low income area n go to a cheap school(like me), M.G.I. Bill is better than post 9/11.

M.G.I. pays you straight cash. with 12 or more hours of class signed up for i get 1960 a month deposited in my checking account. my community college im at costs 1500 a year in state. my house n car paid off since i stacked while i was in. you do the math:mjgrin:

Post 9/11 is good if your school is pricey and or area you live in pricey. post 9/11 pays the school directly, and then gives you BAH depending on the schools area code(i heard thats changing with the redone GI Bill tho so id look into it more on your own).

Post 9/11 will pay your entire school bill if its a public university. if its private i THINK its up to 25K a year but dont quote me on that.

GI bill can also pay for certs. one of my friends said fukk college n went to flight school. G.I. Bill paid the 80K it cost for his training.

wait till you finish your 3 years before marrying/starting a family. especially if you doin a one n done theres no reason to take that risk right now.

Lmao. My degree is useless in my state (creative writing) or most states for that matter :mjlol: I need to be in LA or NY for a writing gig so I figure a stint in the military wouldn’t be a bad quick move either :ehh: it’s either that or joining the union, but I want another degree. I want to get into the IT game or get a science medical degree
tough call. youd prolly have less time to work on your degree as an officer but the pay n lifestyle so much better n it looks better on a resume when you get out, especially if you end up in the corporate world.

have you talked to a recruiter? and do you got any people around you who been in? if you got people itd be a good idea to have them monitor your enlistment process n look over paperwork n answer questions for you so you dont get fukked.

im goin to bed but i'll try to answer as many questions you got as i can tomorrow. I hope it all works out for you:salute:
