This job is annoying. I'm basically the BI report manager, so requests should go through me. They send a request to some woman named Maggie that used to do reporting...5 years ago, she gives them some numbers and they are happy. Now they want some more detail for those numbers Maggie gave them, so now they are coming to me. 
Problem is I have no clue what Maggie did, she's not available and they want the info by 1pm. Oh well.

She gives me a spiel about the increase isn't normal and they bring external hires in at a certain range. The latter is a complete crock, and I was about to get in that ass, but it wouldn't have benefitted me. I'm taking it for now. Real close to 6 figures now, and with a good year I might just pull into it with a raise next year. This will keep me around for another 12 to 18 months and then I'm out for sure. I'll have enough years of experience and a high title to impress some folks.
