Are you're files frozen?
Just asking, since the issue with Transunions hacking of personal data.
No I doubt it. I think I'm just at a peak for now. Hopefully when a few inquiries drop off my report later this summer, it'll likely go up. Don't have a mortgage either so that might be restricting me from reaching 800. My utilization is like 1% and good payment history. I think I have like 1 or 2 late payments from years ago but don't think that's having much of an effect. Just gotta be patient and I'll go up by the end of the year.

No I doubt it..

Sorry, I should've been clear, "freezing you're credit file" ,stop anyone from doing a inquirie without your permission.
It also seems to stop credit card companies from soliciting you with offers.

Have anyone here started work on business credit?

I initially wanted to get deployed again but I'm not sure if I actually want to go through with this one.

Yeah, it'll be more money
Yeah, the experience would be great
And the country isn't in the middle east
But deployments take away from your life
Everything sorta stands still while the world continues
You are stuck in a foreign country up to a year with only the mission at hand

Also, this couldn't have come at a more inconvenient time. I am trying to change my mos to wear I can work on aircrafts and have certifications that benefit me on my civilian side. My current mos has money but unless I join the FBI or CIA there's no future in it for me.

About two years ago I was considering buying a multi-unit property for $100,000, because it was a historic property the city gives renovation grants to rehab the building. I decided to wait cuz I'm still in college so I didn't think it was the right time to buy it. I check the property listing again today and it's still for sale, this time for $893,000 cuz the area is being gentrified.

This is the biggest L I've ever taken :wow:

I rescheduled the interview for tomorrow at my dream company for next week. I'm having so much anxiety about this interview, especially since I'm graduating college in May. I feel like if I don't get this job I'll never get a job in the field of my major. I passed the phone interview portion but I'm so nervous about the in person interview because it's with the VP of the company. :mjcry:

Considering that I don't have 800 yet, you'll be :flabbynsick: when that happens. But seriously just keep making payments on time and keeping the balance below 30%. Treat it as an emergency fund not a privilege. Once you get stable then you'll be able to manage your credit better. But don't get too crazy, especially with your first card. Credit is a blessing and a curse. Sometimes you'll feel overwhelmed with it and sometimes you'll feel thankful to have it. Like me right now for example. It's been a good and bad month for me. Luckily I been stable at work and putting in some overtime every week, even if it's to make up missed hours like this week since I'm taking today off and left early yesterday, still finished with 34 hours. But the bad part is that I been spending way too much this month. Like 300 on an airbnb for this weekend, 400 in car maintenance last weekend, and like 500 to book a hotel in Chicago for labor day weekend for a wrestling event me and my boy want to check out. That was all like this past two weeks. So it's been crazy but luckily I have over 27k in available credit so my rate doesn't go over 30%, let alone 10% even.

What I'm trying to say is that it's great to have it and convenient but as long as you are smart about it. I use one of my cards for everyday purchases and just send payments as time goes and I can send. Never let it get too high and I build up points with it, so it has it's benefits. Be smart with this one and then in another year, apply for another.

There's a credit thread with tips and tricks and others are here if you need anything.

Just got an email earlier that Ally Bank was raising their interest rate from 1.45% to 1.50%. Seems like it wasn't that long ago that it went up to 1.45. Not a major difference but it adds up over time. I was putting 200 in there a week and 100 in Simple to save for vacations but I changed it and gonna put all my savings in Ally to take full advantage of the higher interest rate.
