Recruiter hit me up today about a position thats in office with a nice salary bump.Gas shortage just seems like a great excuse to continue WFH. Commuting is some trash anyway.
Part of me wonders if I should stay at this job and use all the down time to study.I still don't understand what I'm supposed to be doing at my new job. On days when I'm in the office, I setup new hire computers.
On days when I'm WFH... no clue. The HQ is in Europe and there's a bunch of other IT folks in that office. They even have special teams to handle different areas. There are open tickets in the queue, but most of them seem specific to users in Europe and can't be handled remotely.
Why not? Get paid so that you can go somewhere else and get paid.Part of me wonders if I should stay at this job and use all the down time to study.

Plenty of other opportunities out there, have you reached out to any recruiters? Updated LinkedIn and dice profiles? This shyt is garbage.
Yeah, a couple of recruiters have hit me up. It just feels weird because I haven't even been here a month. I keep wondering if I'm problem.Plenty of other opportunities out there, have you reached out to any recruiters? Updated LinkedIn and dice profiles?
If you put forth the effort, are able to learn and being professional the onus is on them, maybe they’re not doing good enough job on boarding? Maybe there was a bait n switch in what the job was described as vs reality...whatever the case, recruiters understand that sometime folks don’t love their new job and are active in their career and doing something about it. I started a new job a couple of months ago, got off to a rocky start and had a few convos with recruiters and they all understood. Things are going better but I’m going to reevaluate in a few months and compare expectations vs reality and move accordingly if there’s a need toYeah, a couple of recruiters have hit me up. I’d rather have 140k stress free as opposed to sitting in meetings all day and bot doing technical workGuy I used to work with has been making moves. Management position making over 50% what he was previously. He has to be close to 200k now. That'll motivate you
From what he says he'll be working more closely with engineers than at his previous role. If it is then it's right up his alley.I’d rather have 140k stress free as opposed to sitting in meetings all day and bot doing technical work
