Get that N+ cert then entry level ops will be there. That proves to them that you're knowledgeable about it without having the neccesssry experience. Do you know how to re image machines, update OS, replace HDD, etc?

everything except re-imaging, I have used software like acronis and so forth.

That's my goal, I know something will pop up.

Yea get that cert fam and you'll be good. You'll need either work exp or the cert to get your foot in through the door for an interview. When u get there explain the process with everything that u mentioned in the earlier post and the hiring manager will recongnize that you're a competent and willing learner

Work with mental health individuals. If one doesn't mind helping those in need by providing shelter and foods at times, they could find this field very intriguing and maybe even lucrative.
Preciate u for sharing...One of my friends used to always talk about opening a halfway house back in the early 2000s. Last time I saw him he mentioned that he was eating good as a result of running one.

How do you go about getting into the market of helping mental needs patients?

no problem breh...
I'm sure he is.
I know each state is different but
Normally your state's department of behavior health should lay out the basics and should show all the providers who provide similar services.
There are different ways you can go ... All requiring a lil bit of capital or if you get under a program that would allow you to become a home provider through them.

So basically
If you know of anybody with a ID(intellectually disabled) Waiver or if you can find people (or person) with one, who are in need of placement

(Hospitals, case managers, clinics etc usually relay information to people and providers who are looking to help)

You can either
Apply for the license
Which is paperwork but doable
Showing that you can run a home( meaning handle food, rent, utilities etc) for at least 3 months without pay from Medicaid.
Business plan
Insurance etc... startup could reach over 100k (because they would want u to be open to open more!) but they at least want to see 30k..well at least in my state.
You'll also be subjectEd to several training throughout the year and you have to make sure you Staff is up to date with theirs as well.

If you go through a company that does sponsered residential, which is alike to adult Foster care, (accepting one in your home or homes) and you could also run that almost like a group home ...with a backup or staff .. without all the paperwork. The company will handle all the logistics( for the most part )with you handling in in home and day to day.

Read it, learn it, understand the materials then go find the exam questions and answers online (atleast that's what some of my people were telling me they did :mjpls:)

I got test-out, cbt nuggets and mike Meyers udemy walk-through,.

IMO test-out is wayyyy tooo deep and cbt nuggets the instructor sucks and mike Meyers isn't worth $10 bucks for the course.\

It's just a water down walk-through, it's a scam imo but I already bought it.

Got mad notes so I hope I pass.

Y'all may have seen my thread about my boss reprimanding me for coming in at 9:30 a few times. We smoothed thing out.

With that said I had a 1 on 1 with him today about training and other things regarding work.

Yeah from the talk I had with him today it just seems that he's by the books as a manager. I had more lax managers and of course as my grandma said "every boss has a boss has a boss" so he has to be accountable for his team and how people are working.

Definitely with the more "startup" culture I felt in web hosting and also with my previous role where I was working remote, this is a stark difference not only in how people behave but how they operate. I will have to play towards that so it won't be reflected on my performance (which I am a high performer in the right environment) and just do what I need to do.

In the interim I will continue building my network here in case I need to jump ship or even if I find something I deem a better fit for me

Position just came in through linkedin. 10 month assignment in Akron, OH,75% remote and once a week in OH. I'm thinking of asking for more details. I could command a decent hourly rate for this.

I hate the looking for a job phase. I had an "immediate need" remote developer position slide through my email, which is too good to be true, but I don't know the salary yet. I have another company that is paying $10k less than the minimum that I want, they are located downtown, and have decent benefits which is useful because I want to get my masters and if they can pay for it that would be $20k saved right there.
