Ruiz wasn’t the one right now imo.

Just off boxing ability alone he shouldn’t have took this fight. It was winnable but Hearn should’ve known better. Plenty of other cats you could’ve fought and got your feet wet over here.

He fought a much better opponent than Wilder did though.
ruiz won that parker fight if we're being honest

Even after watching this fight I'm still here thinking it's no way Ruiz does this again :gucci:

Why didn't Joshua jab or hold any tonight!?!?
Like everyone is saying it seems like he just didn't take this fight seriously at all. I have to think he wins the rematch and looks MUCH better. If not his whole career may be fraud status

He will probably win the rematch by fighting conservatively off the jab a la Kitschko.

He lost because he wasn't as methodical after he got Ruiz hurt. He got clipped by a hook he didn't see coming and that punched changed the entire fight, as does happen in the HW division.

what was interesting how AJ was like completely fatigued. Those eaten punches took a lot out of him, seems like he can't control his breath enough when he's in trouble or something like that.
Against Parker in a 12 rounder it seemed his stamina became decent at least and against Povetkin he was doing fine too. But then he didn't absorb punishment like now. When he was similarly tired at points it was against Klitshko who also hurt him bad.
Seems like he might really have to cut a little bulk for start but how does he even get started with that?

Never good to be wrong but at the same time can't help but feel good for this dude, Ruiz, an upset like this on this high level might only occur a very few times in a decade.

It's good for the sport tbh. Promoters wanted to let a big fight marinate, and now a new star was made tonight. Life changing money coming for Andy Ruiz now.

Nah bro

This nikka don’t got the right to talk shyt AT ALL

Makes that Fury vs Wilder rematch in 2020 even more intriguing now.

This isn’t true

AJ would sleep everyone in the nba and most heavyweights

He could’ve slept Ruiz had he kept his composure after the knockdown. Thats where experience comes in.

He rushed right into Ruiz’s wheelhouse and got dropped and was gassed ever since.

He was unfocused and had zero energy. I could tell by his jab.. it was slow, weak, and lazy. Seemingly had zero gameplan as well. Keeping Ruiz on the stick and sneaking in shots to the body and the KO would’ve came easier than you backpedaling all night and getting put down

Perk talking big cash online, you don’t become a 4 belt holder without heart.

You hit the nail on the head dude. People forgetting Joshua had him out first, so he could have had him again but AJ didn't compose himself, that KD fukked him up mentally I think. I don't think he expected it, and they his trainer should have really coached him through into the fight. He should have stuck behind the jab, gone to the body, but the seocn KD zapped his energy and Ruiz knew he could take him out with a burst as AJ wasn't recovering. It was disappointing to me man, I expected more from him..

man shut the fukk, AJ barely survived against an old ass Wladimir, who wasn't even the real champ, all AJ's belts were paper, his resume is trash

yet he got heralded ahead of wilder who has twice as many KOs as JOshua has fights total lmao

Feel bad for Wilder man... he deserved the smoke.. Fury Wilder is the biggest fight in HW division but that allure of Josh Wilder could have been something else
Fury feints and jabs his way to an UD on the rematch and that was it for the HW division :russ:

Ok, to be fair there's Usyk, who knows how he pans out as a HW and there are some nice up and comers too
