In these countries you can't be moving around alone. You gotta move around with people who are in tune with the city.
You can do just fine alone as long as you sticking to the tourist path. off the tourist path then you definitely better off accompanied by a local

Cartagena and Medellín are two of the most dangerous cities in the world. I genuinely don't know why any American would go there

Passport Bros need to start buying p*ssy in Nevada
Cartagena and Medellin are also two of the most beautiful cities you could visit. Learn some basic street smarts and you can enjoy it without losing your life. nikkas who never left their neighborhood really think any place outside of America is like walking down the streets of Baghdad :mjlol:

If you’re traveling to poor countries don’t stand out wearing flashy stuff and nice clothes, try to blend in and be cautious

True. I have a video career and a group travel company and I take an expensive camera set up and drone all over the world.

Try and still use best judgement though and don't try and flaunt , but still it's there

Call me what you want but I'm only visiting first world countries. And preferably ones that understand some English, even if it's not their first language.

Solo traveled to nearly a dozen countries in Latin America(Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, PR)

I don’t do resorts and I’m not afraid to go out of tourist areas.

I leave my IPhone 13 at wherever I’m staying and go outside with my old android

Travel with a money belt if Im moving around in the streets

Dress like a local. I’m a darker complexion breh and when I’m in panama or Colombia you couldn’t tell me from a local. Faded cargo pants, ball cap, plain t shirt and some adidas shoes. Only time you can point me out as an American is when I step out at night.

Knowing conversational Spanish goes a long way, otherwise you will be taken advantage of or be lost in the sauce

Make local connects…bumble and Instagram are great for this.
I've never heard of a money belt until you mentioned it. Any particular one you recommend?

Should've gave up the material goods, and shouldn't have went over there without an escort or someone he knew from there.

I'm pretty sure I'd be good in most south/central American countries, but I still wouldn't go without one of my patnas that got family or friends over there. It's certain things that they would know to watch for that you wouldn't, even if you did your research. And tryna keep the visit within tourist areas doesn't guarantee safety.

Definitely don't go be flashy making yourself a target, but sometimes the jack boys will find a plain looking person to fuk with out of boredom. Chances are if you wanna live, they will still get something out of you.

And one general tip to anyone passport broing in Latin America: learn Spanish. It's the easiest language to learn, and understanding it as well as being able to speak it will get you many bytches/acquaintances while also keeping you safe from most potential fukkery

Columbia and DR are the two places you gotta watch out for. Never been to comumbia but I know enough to not go by myself. I missed a guy trip last year but they rolled 12 deep.

i go to DR frequently and unless I roll with my brother-in-law who is dominican and carrys a gun but also has military connections there, I don't leave my resort.

I ain’t try it yet but next time I go to a country with black people I can bend in with im going to try buy my clothes down there. I found that “dressing down” you still stand out just off the style and cut of the clothes. Like I went to costs rica with some damn asics on when everybody down there were wearing Fox sneaks so they still knew I was gringo in the hood
