that’s crazy…I heard medellin is a place you shouldn’t go without a guide and that cartagena was more tourist friendly…so much for that notion even tho this may not be the norm…that’s messed up smh rip
Cartagena is a tourist city but just like Washington DC one minute you could be in a safe tourist area and a literal 10 minute walk and you’re in the hood.

Anytime you hear of a black American man being killed in another country while on vacation, most of the time it’s going to be over a gold chain. Idk how many times it has to be said :snoop:

Cartagena and Medellín are two of the most dangerous cities in the world. I genuinely don't know why any American would go there

Passport Bros need to start buying p*ssy in Nevada
That’s not entirely true. That’s like saying people shouldn’t visit Chicago or Washington DC. You have certain areas within the city that are dangerous. I have an apartment in medellin and it is actually safer than most American cities imo.

I would put it like this. The average city in Colombia is more safer than the average city in America but the average hood in Colombia is much more dangerous than the average hood in America

In developing countries, especially as a Passport Bro in Latin America, no bling, no drip, and if they confront you to rob you give it up quickly. The point is not to go down there and get killed.
He broke the 3 universal rules I tell every brotha visiting cartagena and any other city outside of the states:

1. Do NOT venture outside of the tourist areas if you’re not familiar with the environment
2. Absolutely under no circumstances NO GOLD CHAINS. Even if it’s fake.
3. If you are unfortunate enough to get robbed DO NOT FIGHT BACK. Just give them whatever you have.

???

yes but different parts with one being considered “safer” than the others from several accounts when I was planning a trip there
Definitely go don’t let stories like this deter you. There are actually ALOT of retired military brothas that live there and black owned restaurants. I make friends every time I go there. I had the time of my life when I used to go.

Dudes like this guy RIP make places look bad because they just lack basic awareness. When an American goes to Colombia you are the equivalent to a multi-millionaire in the states. Millionaires in the states don’t hang out in the hood wearing diamond jewelry and whatnot. A simple 10k gold chain could be a couple of months of someone’s salary in Colombia :snoop:

While you can get robbed in the states, is it anything as bad as Colombia? There's plenty of places in the states you can go and flex and we have a better built police force that will get criminals off the street with the quickness.

What are the chances them colombian boys got away with murder?

They already caught the shooter. One thing about Colombia is if a tourist gets killed in a tourist area they will find the perpetrators quickly
