the style he taught is tornado, which he made up along with lupe's father, they are the originators

in the 70's lost of black people was teaching martial arts in the community, he from chicago, shyt was heavy there, so I'm pretty sure thats how got into in the hood, but he made up his own shyt

but it was rooted from traditional martial arts which is japanese, and yes the japanese were dumb to teach outsiders martial arts when it was also forbidden to do so
ok you just completed the reply..thank you.

We teach it as a cultural thing. Cacs only see dollar signs. Once all these bruhs are dead cacs will say it started in prison by an Irish guy.

We dont understand lineage and legacy.

So true :wow:

This is something we should take pride in as a race, regardless if it "started in prison". It is still something that is ours and it seems to only be used for good, as any other fighting style is used.

Yet, I can hear nikkas now: "fukk dat New York shyt :pacspit: "

i misread what you said, I though my sensei was a fool, that got me heated because he dead, and that nikka was the truth, buts not the martial art, it's how it's taught

it's the process and philosophy of things are done that make the difference, and you should not teach those things to outsiders who can be a threat

This is the style they teach in a lot of mma school. Not so much putting your palms on your head but blocking and deflecting by putting you palm on the back of the head and absorbing the shot on the side of the arm.

Also they'll have you put that same arm behind your head and lunge forward elbow first into the opponent face to close the distance and stun

That is the way we're taught in our dojo when blocking punches(along with head movement, etc, of course)

It's palm to the "back" of head, elbows forward - arms and elbows end up absorbing the punches.

Palms to the front of the head is a boxer habit.. A boxer can get away with that due to the size of his gloves.

But a hard mma puncher or street fighter could punch straight through such a guard if someone was to try it without the added cushion/girth of the boxing gloves.

Not good.

That hand-on-head placement is very important. Too high , too low, too far back, you're gtting cracked

sensei says only fool teaches his enemy how to beat him, he developed a martial arts style with lupe's dad, which I'm currently still learning, training with his sons because he died in his mysteriously, which I believe he was killed by the government. He refused to teach anybody who wasn't black and people came to the hood from all over the world to ask him to teach them but he did demos at other schools.

why you think them triads was on bruce lee ass, they didn't like him teaching outsiders that shyt

who remembers the name of the guy who thought the gracies judo, and they done got rich of what he taught them

I knew it wouldn't be long before you got started. And you were doing so good thus far :noah:
