the only way I can see someone taking that dinner is if they are in the music biz (not necessarily an artist) and really think they have a shot @ parlaying that dinner into establishing him as a valid contact...and even so that is farfetched as hell but I could understand it tho

The only way the dinner could work out for you is if you already have a business going that he could expand & hook you up with connections.
If you are just going to dinner with him as a "normal person", the most you will hear is "Always believe in yourself", "Dont give up", "There are a lot of obstacles to overcome", "Its gonna be very hard at times, a lot of stuff is going to go wrong in the beginning" etc etc. All things that are meant well & are true, but it wont magically turn you into a business genius & billionaire without any real plan to apply those cues to....
