It's basically suburb, sellout, clout-chasing culture.
As a life long lover of hip-hop, it's pretty much dead in my world.
It no longer aligns with my spirit on a personal level even down to the profanity in the music. All of the cursing and Nwords make me cringe now. I literally can't listen to it.
I've moved on from it for the most part mainly because I've changed as a person.
Jazz & gospel music makes up the majority of my listening so that should tell you where I'm at mentally & spiritually.
I'll throw on some Common, Little Brother, GangStarr, Wale, old Kanye etc every now and then but most rap music does nothing for me now.
