*Jimmy Iovine. No one ended 50 but himself. Kept using the same tired single and album formula while the industry was moving towards a different sound. Your average rap listener never even heard 300 bars.
Some had moderate hits though. Songs that were on radio and everyone knows. I mean The LOX were on songs with Mariah Carey in the 90's and had a feature on J. Lo's song which was also a hit. I think some people just don't know much about certain artists or never payed attention.
hits after 2007
These songs were all over the radio.
because of them? Very few rappers bring value in terms of a feature verse alone. Jada & Styles had no input on the bones of the song (beat & chorus) so you don’t think they could have easily been replaced with other guys?
I only see 4 hit records there. 2 of them are from Banks, 2 from 50. They weren’t the best songs either. As for Game, his Drake feature alone crushed all of those. This was during their second group run. Maybe if they got a Drake feature they would’ve had something, like their 0-100 remix
you’re really a sad clown, I’m The Man has literally double the amount of streams as that Game song with NO Drake. & Down On Me is 5x Platinum
Ja Rule was huge star in his prime, and the music was good. Always on timeThe coli - no one listening to Ja Rule
Turns out he gets more play than most New York artists![]()
