To me, this is a no brainer. A better test would have been $50K in bills vs $75K in pennies.
Even then I'm taking the pennies.
Even then I'm taking the pennies.
Same here I can't change my vote and the results of who chose what is visible. This was a setup
Not a single person in here would have the knowledge or capabilities to melt pennies into copper. This isn't like starting a fire and throwing pennies into it. I'm sure there is heavy industrial equipment involved that will require being purchased for most of y'all cuz I doubt many or any have access to that type of equipment. So thats an added expense. Not to mention the fact that any equipment like that would need to be stored in a large warehouse along with the pennies and the feds wouldn't just let some random warehouse be laying around without any type of investigation, plus you'll need a crew cuz no single person is lifting 300k pounds or whatever the number was of pennies. And the amount of power needed to operate the machine. Highly unlikely the authorities don't find out whats going on. Seems more complicated than it sounds.I know it's illegal to melt pennies and sell the raw material but I'm curious: How would the government know?
Ya'll must not know what 500k in pennies looks like
you can't just take it too the bank lol
You'd need at least a few thousand rolls to even hit 1000 dollars
They have machines now. I know of banks and CUs that have their own Coinstar type machines that put the money right in your account.People really think that the bank tellers are gonna roll all them pennies. They’d look at you like
Only pennies made prior to 1982 have high copper levels to count as sellable copper. Those were 95 percent copper.
but it’s illegal to melt pennies for copper.
Now the pennies are mostly zinc.
It’s illegal to melt down pennies. But yeah, they materials in a penny are worth more than a penny
This is what I’ve been saying. Explain to the bank how you are going to go about it, and they will work with you. They might even send some trucks out to help you. The bank can make a big profit off that money using it to back loans.Stash the pennies in storage and slowly cash them out
