College Basketball should simply be for the non sure thing/super stars who need a year of maturing , the players who want the experience and or a free 4 year education at a major university.

The product doesn’t suffer when the generational talent skips it. There are only 60 draft slots every offseason brehs, players need College more often than not.

March Madness is still March Madness without the Zion’s of the world.

His loss is Cole Anthony’s brand gain. Good for him to get a bag tho.

If he was "trash" I don't think he would have continued to keep being invited to Team USA u-18 camps for the past few years. Does that make him a future NBA star? Not sure, but just having an NBA career is a win compared to what, playing a year for Bill Self. Kid makes over a million, plays for a year, then goes to the league. Not seeing the downside here.

The Darius Garland point is spot on. He played for literally a handful of games, got hurt and is still a lotto pick.

I already said in the initial post that i don't care if he skips college. This is a good move by his team by limiting his exposure and keeping his stock stable. But I also think hes overrated in terms of a NBA prospect. If he goes to college and struggles theres a good chance nobody would touch him in next years draft.

TYRONE GA!
He’s not the first one to try this. He’s just the first one who’s doing it with the reason not being to avoid some suspension. The reason why it hasn’t taken off is because 18 year old kids wanna get paid without dealing with everything that comes with being pros and are generally hesitant to leave the confines of America to get paid.
Colleges better get their bagmen bigger bags...

It seems like Garland ain’t getting punished. And he only played a week of CBB

Garland is different doe he always displays his skills it aint to hard realize he can play. Garland is more like Kyrie than RJ everybody knew Kyrie was a baller even though he only played a handful of games. RJ is ducking but that's cool i dont have a issue with it more top ranked prospects should do the same if they think college basketball will plummet their stock.

It’s probably better without the Zion’s honestly. BSPN was :noah: about every little thing he did. On or off the court

Dude said fukk the books I just wanna hoop :leon:

LOVE IT!!!

i wish all black college athletes would do this. The destruction of the american college sports system would bring me so much joy it's sickening how badly i want this to happen. Until they pay them kids i hope every-single-player goes overseas and gets paid.

Yup and if that’s done or this going over seas becomes the norm college will die ....
College sports is not going anywhere. Their fanbase are the alumni of the schools. Those fans are going to cheer for their school no matter who's playing. You guys say this as if every high school player in America is going to start skipping college. The reality is this is only a viable option for the top 5-10 or o premier talents. There's still plenty of talent left. The Steph Curry's, Damian Lillard's, Ja Morant's are always going to be there for college

Imagine had he done this at Syracuse in the tournament. Dude would be a top 10 pick. Now he's lost out on millions. Look I want these guys to get paid but I'm just not seeing the benefit of them skipping school. Zion could have done it I'm certain him being on national TV and killing it has made him ALOT of money in shoe negotiations. shyt Nike going want to give him the bag just because his shoe blew open and they need a PR spin for that.
