Why do people keep saying Kenny is going to WWE? All signs point to that not happening. AEW is going to work with NJPW and probably ROH. They aren't going to have much of a choice.

I think Kenny is going to sign on for another year of NJPW (and retain at WK). He'll be a special attraction for whatever shows AEW can put together and NJPW will continue to be his home promotion.
AEW needs exclusive contracts if they want to compete with the WWE imo. Part of the appeal should be seeing the best wrestlers only on the AEW shows.

Thought they all said they were sticking together though? Idk, I might be remembering it wrong

Scurll can't join them until next year due to his ROH contract. Flip Gordon is under contract with them as well.

As for Omega, if Sportskeedia (take it with a grain of salt) were to be believed, then

Before All Elite Wrestling was announced on the 1st January 2019, I was told by a source that Kenny Omega and Marty Scurll were the two main 'Elite' members who were yet to turn down their WWE deals.

The source also added that 'Omega has a 3.5m downside guarantee offer with language that will grow and promote his gaming aspirations.' This corroborated separate reports from Dave Meltzer that said that Cody and The Bucks had turned down seven-figure figures from the WWE.

I am told that WWE are being very active in trying to convince Omega to join, with several current WWE Superstars. Xavier Woods, AJ Styles and Seth Rollins also helping to convince 'The Cleaner' to join WWE.

Finally, I have been told that Kenny Omega has a sit-down meeting with Vince McMahon and Triple H over the next couple of days with WWE purchasing his plane ticket from Japan. It is understood this meeting is to negotiate final terms for the contract offer and will be when Omega decides whether to sign or not. This is likely why he doesn't feature in the video reveal for All Elite Wrestling.

WWE Rumors: Kenny Omega to have meeting with Vince McMahon and Triple H; Signing with WWE?

That's what Cody said and I think that is still true to some extent because i still believe all the Elite will work AEW and NJPW. It's already been mentioned by Meltzer that the Elite guys want to continue to work with/for NJPW, which is what I always assumed.

Omega isn't involved in the business of All In/AEW, I don't believe. That's all Cody and the Bucks.

If anything, at least wrestlers have more negotiation leverage if they want to sign with the WWE and a new home that’s stateside for those who want to leave WWE and still make some money :manny:

Kenny should be smart about this. Sign a 2 year deal with AEW, be part of this whole thing and try to make it special. Then take the bag if he really wants it, WWE's offer is gonna be on the table as long as he can continue to draw like he does today.

theres already plenty of money to be made stateside.

it just comes down to how you want to make it. cody & the bucks are a prime example.

So how is this gonna be any different from ROH, NJPW, MLW, CZW, AAA, AARP, BMW, AT&T, CVS, IKEA and all the 500,000 other indie wrestling companies that all share the same wrestlers? :gucci:

The difference is broadcasting. If the Kahn's can get AEW on a major broadcast network, or some decent syndication, then they might be set. As much as I like ROH, they're only on Sinclair stations. Other than that, you have to watch online. Something like TNA/Impact had a chance, but it had some bullshyt management in the background. Lucha Underground is decent, but it's on El Rey, which not all providers have. And if they do, it's on their top tier packages. If they can get it on say TBS, and air it on Tuesdays, after Smackdown goes to Fox and airs on Friday, or even MyNetworkTV stations, then they can have a shot at doing what the others haven't.

you realize it’s not that easy to do though right :gucci:getting on major channels . Also I think nwg doesn’t realize is the decrease of Wwe ratings don’t make other networks say hey let’s put a less well known wrestling product on tv cause we can do it better no it usually makes it harder to get a major deal . Also a big reason Wwe is Able to get their numbers is because they are live weekly and provide plenty of content . Not necessarily for the quality of the product

The thing is, it's not just a big feud. It's THE feud of Kenny and Ibushi's career. They've been teasing an building to a final Tokyo Dome showdown for 6 years now, and it finally looks like a real possibility for either this year - if New Japan tries to have a 2nd Dome show in 2019 - or for WK 14.

I could be completely wrong but I feel like Omega is the kind of guy who would like to get that angle and match done before having any sort of exclusivity contract.

It would be hilarious if HHH is trying to get Ibushi too so he can convince Kenny. Just picturing Kota demanding a bunch of off the wall insane shyt has me :dead:
